To me, LSD has been a life-changing discovery since the first time it activated inside my brain (and that took a few tries). From the very beginning, with the first slight shift in my perception I knew I was in for one hell of an adventure which was way beyond pure recreation.
Let me start with the recreational side, though, as the most stereotypical and the best known. On LSD, things in your regular environment change visually. It's different for each person, but for me it works as follows. When I keep my vision on one spot, it starts to change. Do you recall the colorful blots you get on your eyes when looking into the sun for too long? That matter starts to take regular shapes (on the spot that I'm looking at), gradually taking over my vision completely. Then, the fun begins. That trip matter starts to reshape itself, take awe-inspiring geometric shapes, colourful patterns, fractals, tunnels and many, many more. The spot I've looked at before is no longer there - now everywhere around me is the trip. I'm inside it. Sometimes, I AM the trip as I no longer feel the connection to my body and senses. I no longer know what I am. It's one of the most perception-refreshing experiences I have had - being outside of myself and looking back at myself.
This brings me to the other part of my LSD experience - the exploration of my personality. See, acid doesn't only make you see things, it also makes you [b]feel[/b] things. Like any drug, it amplifies your current mood - the happy become euphoric, the sad become miserable. I have discovered that if you prevent your visual trip from happening (you can do that if you want to), the head space is still there. Sometimes I walk out of my home having taken a blotter only to explore my city in a different way, appreciating different things than normally. On acid, I usually talk to the homeless and ask them to tell me their stories. They're fantastic, deep people with moving stories and made me appreciate what I have and love other people. That's my favourite part of any drug ever - the empathy and openness it gives me is impossible to recreate.
As with all psychedelics, there is also the sense of uncovering a mystery. When you leave your mundane life for a couple of hours and witness abstract kinds of beauty, joy, hilarity and fun you start looking at yourself as a limited human being, confined to its own brain and perception. When you manage to break out of that for just a minute, you realise how mysterious the human being and the universe is. It kills your ego and, again, makes you fall in love with the world.
I now have 30+ year old drug hookups who work in the corporate world with high paying jobs

Well im scared to push her away if i try something risky. So i told her i would try to get the whole friend idea into my head, but i couldnt promise anything.
BUT she actually said that it was important for her to know that we hadnt broken up, not before the whole confusing thing is gone.
Were both invited to the same suprise party at sunday, lets see how the friend thing will turn out.
