1-2mg should be enough, but you might want to check your natural tolerance before taking it during a trip. For some 1mg is enough to get pretty wasted and fall asleep, others will need at least 4-5mg for the same effect.

But I'd recommend you to have a little bit of alcohol as a first line of defense, and benzos as back-up if you are tripping out [B]really [/B]bad. Generally a beer or a half is just enough to take the edge off and make you feel nice and comfortable if you are starting to feel anxious, no reason to pop benzos and kill the trip at this stage if it can still be salvaged.
