well my friend seems to have recovered from his dmt caused psychosis, he's out of the mental hospital
it's unclear now whether the psychedelics brought out his existing schizophrenia, or if it was just some form of short term craziness. either way it's still unclear if he will be institutionalized again, though he seems lucid

I don't know if there's a rule for not talking about ratings, but that would seem rather silly to me. It's so very easy to mindlessly leave a bad rating and not go further in-depth about it, and the ratings a post has received usually determines in what light the post will be read, which only paves the way for crowd opinion and depresses individualist thinking and objectivity (maybe not as much here, but definitely in the more popular forums like GD or SH).
For this reason I tend to avoid leaving negative ratings when I disagree with a post, although I admit sometimes the temptation for mindless rating is too great and I slip, throwing out a dumb or disagree.
Confronting people about their ratings is usually one of the best ways to make them stop and think to formulate an actual reply, which is much more beneficial to both parties.
Debates and arguments are only fun! A learning experience for everyone involved and a brilliant opportunity to gather perspective and learn from both sides to further develop your world view and theories.

The ratings in gd or sh represent the random forum goer, so you take it as a measure of the post in the eyes of "others"
Ratings here belong to specific people, because most of us at least recognize each others names, so they can be taken more as an expression of that posters thoughts, and you aren't as swayed by a singular person, or really even a group.
It could be said that it even opens up conversations more often in dd, as evidenced right now

Did you realize he was not OK right directly after he was tripping, or when it seemed like the effects didn't wear off after 5-10 minutes?

I wish there was a machine that you could place your weed inside of and it would scan it and tell you the potency of it, and maybe display information such as the ratio of THC to other cannabinoids and what not. Man that would be awesome, you could like post your results online and compare weed with everyone. Judging it by sensory input is still pretty good though :)

Essentially he's been in the hospital before. Whenever he goes on a spree of taking psychedelics (far beyond the average user) his reality starts to break down and he becomes delusional, and when you question his beliefs and reality, he can either become very afraid and has become violent.
He has a family history of mental illness, and it manifests itself when he lets go.
He smoked DMT and was in a state of total bliss the day after, though having some trouble piecing together words. He was unsure of his life at that point and kind of constructed this escapist reality for himself. It began with giving objects undue significance, and piecing together what he believed was a grand conspiracy, involving himself, the mafia, the government. He went around the next day blessing people, and explaining his conspiracy, calling his craziness "vision questing". Delusions of grandieur, paranoia, textbook schizo symptoms.
He started to do things like pointing to a random van and saying "It looks empty but I can see its full of people right now." He would make up situations subconsciously that explained his craziness to himself, like thinking that his mother dosed the water with lsd.
His family tricked him into going to the mental hospital and he stayed there for a few days, really afraid and confused, but he came out of his hospital stay very lucid. Acknowledging his craziness. He seems totally normal, but we're unsure of how well together his reality is.
Went to the local greek restaurant and got some take-out lasagna, garlic bread, and honey garlic chicken wings.

I got back after drinking with a couple friends. I searched for food, and saw my favourite food. Bacon. Then, I checked and it expired October 2nd. God damn it. There's nothing else, not even bread. We have cheese, which I've already consumed half the brick to myself over the last couple of days, and a couple eggs. There's nothing in the pantry except crackers and some stale cereal that everyone seems to have forgotten about.
