It's automatic, whenever you mis-spell something red lines come under the word and you can right-click for a list of words you might have wanted to type, it's cool.
Whenever I forget how to spell a word i just type the letters I think are in the word, the red line comes under and I can choose the correct spelling of the word I wanted.
Every word I type had that stupid red line, even if the word was correct. :v:
I reverted back to IE after that, I ain't lettin' no Internet browser tell lies to me. :p
Get greasemonkey.. NOW!
:geno:
Epic agree.
You just installed it?
Firefox fanatic Stylus here, to give you information on a couple of cool extensions, and Firefox 3!
Get Greasemonkey, it alters the behaviour and appearance of sites via scripts.
For example, there's one called RS_Bundle; it takes away all the crap from Rapidshare and makes it clean, automatically presses the 'free' button, and allows for download via download manager.
The most popular extension is Adblock Plus. You'll see why once you try it. It just blocks advertisements according to a frequently updated list. Simple, yet extremely effective.
I use this theme, by the way: http://miamoto.deviantart.com/art/Urethane-Light-for-Firefox-2-59759151
Firefox 3 will be the best browser EVER.
- The clever people at Mozilla found that a lot of people don't bother going through their bookmarks, and would rather do a quick Google search to get to their sites. Funnily enough, that's me. In Firefox 3, in place of the Go button, there will be a star instead: this instantly bookmarks the current page without any hassle. Don't worry though, Go's not gone, it just comes up while you're typing in the address bar. Press the star again and you can tag the page/site.
Now, this is the real deal: the address bar doubles as a search bar that searches all your bookmarks and history.

- Also in the works is a visual refresh, which aims to make the browser match the operating system interface.

- Revamped download manager. Pause, and resume across multiple sessions.
- One minor improvement: Firefox, via a non-obtrusive bar that appears at the top, will ask if you want to save the password, after attempting to log into a site. This prevents you from saving a wrong password.
There's a lot more improvements on the way.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The images are no representation of the final product.
I prefer FireFox over IE as well.
I hate firefox.
I prefer IE for many reasons, such as the way better tab system.
I'm not entirely sure how you can improve the tab system.
It's like saying you prefer mars to earth because it has better gravity.

How many more things do they need to copy?
This is a snapshot from "google trends":

What? That looks completely different. Firefox 3's bar searches through bookmarks/tags as well.

Firefox has actually always had pause/resume. They're making it cross-session in 3.0
I was late.
:excited:
How long have you lived with the slowness of Internet Explorer. :geno:
Enjoy your memory leaks, I was too used to Firefox to start using Opera so here I am on Firefox, even though FF is good, Opera is far better for more pages.
I love Firefox, but it's a memory hog. It always froze when I opened up Facepunch.
Are you using a Packard Bell?
Because they Suck.
Mine Is the slowest 2.9ghz Computer you will ever see :argh:

Nope, it really is, my brother showed me opera and I opened about 10 tabs at the same time on Firefox, it locked up a bit on the first 5, in Opera it was smooth enough to open them all without locking up.
One time, Firefox was using 400mb in Task Manager, after opening about 7 tabs. I could use a better computer but this one is only 3 years old.

Was it an old version?
It doesn't like lots of tabs opening at the same time
How did you live without it for so long?
I use opera the most, I just like it more then firefox.

Yea, well I just got a cadillac.

...what? I don't get it.
Good job on getting Firefox. Welcome to the Firefox Creed. Here. Recited this.
I have dedicated my life to the study of the deadly Internet.
I can surf any website, download any file, and eliminate any browser with a single thrust of my virus.
I am a user of Firefox, and my browser will be remembered for ages to come.
:yoshi:
I've been using IE for a long time.
I think I'm doing something wrong :tinfoil:
The spellchecker does not know what Firefox is, kind of sad.
I use a combo of Firefox and Opera, mostly Opera though.
Yeah me too, i just extracted all of Opera's files into the firefox directory, and now i have this awesome hybrid.
The spellchecker does not know what Firefox is, kind of sad.
Yes it does.
The spellchecker does not know what Firefox is, kind of sad.
It complains when you don't capitalize Firefox because Firefox is a proper noun.
Yeah, I was thinking about getting it a while ago, just to see how good it is. I'm going to get it now.
Edit:
That was easy and fast.
Edit:
What should I do now? I've finished installing it, and got a new theme.
I'm prefering IE7 right now because firefox is taking like 45 seconds to open, while Internet Explorer takes 8. If it opened faster for me i would use it all the time, it's great.

IE7 takes me 3 second, and Firefox 4. Opera takes 3.
Besides 45 seconds is worth it.
