I highly recommend the NASA Night Launch theme found here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4908
FireFox is made of happy and win.
I bet you use that all year long
I used it from christmas 06 to about April 07 :excited:
Firefox & Opera > Safari > Internet Explorer 6 > Internet Explorer 7
Aha! I love FF now! I installed a few addons, namely AdBlock Plus, StumbleUpon, and one I forgot the name of that apparently downloads videos from YouTube and whatnot.
Loving it so far, FP.
What is Firefox?!?!
AHAHA!
I'm just serious (playing).
This Thread made me take the plunge and get FF, now i know why people say its so good.
I used to use Firefox, but I found downloading files was more complicated. I'm switching back when I get the chance though.
Someone make a quick MS paint comic of someone switching to Firefox.

What other browsers are there, besides Firefox and IE?

So now that I've got Firefox it won't let me view youtube videos. someone please tell me what I've probably done wrong.

Try reinstalling Flash.
Opera > Opera > Opera > IE > random browsers > FireFox. :(
FireFox is just.. horrible..
I'm a bit confused here, have you not heard of Firefox before? Or were you just waiting for the right moment to get it?
Also.
"Welcome, welcome to Firefox. It's safer here."

You do know that Opera is safer, right? It IS the safest browser out there.

No, a Garry's Mod comic! :D
I like opera.
I know ratings are ratings but if I knew someone would get 43 gold stars for posting a browser change I would make threads like these a lot more.
IE is like unprotected sex, it procreates and you end up getting a nasty virus, wait, that's AOL...
Third post and i get docked a ton for missing a ' in it.

Fucking sexy amirite?
I did a little editing of the code so it looks nicer.
So hard to go back. :(
I was going to go with that shade of green for the buttons in the original style, but I decided it was too bright for a Christmas theme.
Still looks pretty sexy though...
I have a few questions about firefox.
Does it really make internets faster?
Does it include virus/spyware protection?
And just one more thing. One of my friends said that you could use the download helper to download youtube videos. Is this true? Becuase if it is I'm going on my mom's lap top right now and downloading some videos for my zune...
But yeah, my comp is having problems right now, looks to be some kind of virus. A few rather strange things have happened, like today, the monitor's resolution changed itself, and now we can't find the option to change it back...
a while back it stopped showing previews of pictures as the icons, and the only way to view them is to open them in say MS paint, as it no longer uses the picture and fax viewer for some reason...

Does it really make internets faster? Depends. It renders some types of pages faster but can be slower on launch depending on its configuration

I'm prepairing to the onslaught of disagrees but...
I'm still using IE7. To be frank, I prefer it over Firefox, mostly for small stupid things that I'm comfortable with IE7, such as opening new tabs via just clicking a button on the browser instead of relying on middle-mouse link clicks or keyboard shortcuts.
Also, Firefox always appeared to load pages slower/more choppy for me (such as, it loads the page and several chunks of the website will be missing untill several seconds later), while IE7 has been instant. Not to mention firefox always seems to take longer at doing things (such as new browser opening).
And really stupid things such as Firefox NEVER remembers my browser size I set it to, it always defaults to taking up the entire screen, which I don't prefer considering I have a rather big screen. IE7 appears to remember however, and defaults to whatever I closed the browser window as.
I did dig the spell checker though.
It's just that I don't really feel the need to change over. IE7 works fine for me, and the things Firefox offers doesn't make me want to go out and go "Woh, Firefox is sooo much better!". Of course I would probibly be typing this on Firefox if it just simply performed faster for me, but it doesn't for whatever user-related reason. I don't care much about ads so Adblock isn't a problem (the popup blocker for IE7 works just fine for me).
It's not that I don't like Firefox. I use it at school, to be honest, because IE6 sucks ass (our school have both Firefox and IE6). But at home, I'm just perfectly fine with IE7, and nothing really just sticks out from Firefox that makes me want to use it over IE7.
EDIT: OH! And i absolutely hate Firefox's download system. I download plenty of different things for different purposes, so firefox's "We'll not prompt you for your download and instead just throw everything into one folder" system is annoying. I like to pick where I download files to when I download, and/or quickly choose to just open the file in a temporary folder ;)

Gold star for giving a good alternative viewpoint on browsers.
I use opera, The best thing about IE is that it takes about half a second to start. Firefox takes about 5, and opera takes about 2. So, I use opera. I use firefox for stumbleupon when I'm really bored. I just can't stand waiting for it to start. Besides, my opera theme is great. also speed dial and when you close opera it saves the pages you were viewing and opens them when you start opera.
When I start IE now I open a new tab and click where the facepunch box should be... but it isn't there D:.
Also Opera came out a few months before IE and Firefox, leading me to believe they may have copied a bit.
Also again: Operas download manager kicks ASS. Not to mention a built in torrenter.

Here we go...
- You can ADD A BUTTON to the toolbar that creates a new tab.
- Adblock does not block pop-ups, it blocks banners and the like.
- If you go into Options > Main, you can choose "Always ask me where to save files"
Sigh...
