Awesome. :)
at least that "memory usage reduction" - thing is more than welcome. My newest FULL version takes almost 300mb of memory, when like.. 4 pages are open.
It has to have improved from this.
Nice.
It has to have improved from this.
What the fuck?
Awesome. :)
I'm not bullshitting, Firefox acts differently in different hardwares. :argh:
I got it in irish At the moment it's using 8 CPU cycles and 70k of my memory
EDIT: Works pretty well, the only speed-limiting factor seems to be site traffic usage and my network.
Does this overwrite the normal Firefox version or can I have both? I'm hoping it's just a case of installing it to a different folder.
Read the beta page.
EDIT: Works pretty well, the only speed-limiting factor seems to be site traffic usage and my network.
It installs to another folder. It doesn't seem to be much faster, got lots of nifty things though.
Idling at 45mb memory usage with 4 tabs open :4chan:
It has to have improved from this.
LOL, uh... That's... strange. Is it photoshopped? Yep, Encyclopedia Dramatica.
I like the neat picture drag effect.
93MB of ram isn't that much, unless you have like, 128MB ram.
93 Megabytes, agreeably, is nothing, I have 2 gigabytes.
Looks to be an improvement. I'm glad it'll be eating less Ram, too.
Good start. Also, we've had the picture drag effect for a very, very long time ;)
Neat-o
It does seem to go faster. Edit - A lot faster.
Although I'm no nerd, I've noticed nothing special. I can't compare the two, because the FireFox beta has taken over my PC. No matter what I click, I get the new version. Perhaps I shouldn't have installed it to Mozilla Firefox\Mozilla Firefox 3.0 Beta 3 ..? It'll do for me until it comes out of beta, anyway.
Opera is still faster for me.
It goes a lot faster, no need for Fasterfox now.
What I don't like in FF2 is the freezing when starting a download. Edit: Lol the distrib exe is 6.66Mb. Edit: So I installed Firefox 3 Beta 3. It's slower than Firefox 2. At least, for me.
Thanks for the information, seems pretty good so far.
Firefox's memory usage has never been an issue for me. I leave the same instance running for months at a time.
Oshi, i'm on it right now and it's mighty fast!
Awesome. :)
HAHAHA!!! YOUR NAME IS JAME!!! :excited:
Mhh smart bookmarks. Edit:
HAHAHA!!! YOUR NAME IS JAME!!! :excited:
Jamie :eng101: And now guess my name!
