I added a link to the download page to make it easier, sorry about that.

How?
Dragging it won't work.
My FF is currently using 184,894K of my memory.
Doesn't seem any faster than FF2 either. Maybe that's just me?

view -> toolbars -> customize
13 tabs and Opera is still using less memory that most people say their FireFox uses with 4 tabs open.

I stopped using FireFox at version 1.6, I might download 3 just to see how it is. I remember firefox had a lot more cool user plugins than Opera.

Good start. Also, we've had the picture drag effect for a very, very long time ;)
Go away no once gives a bag of dicks about Opera.

There aren't any for Firefox 3 Beta 3 yet.
at least that "memory usage reduction" - thing is more than welcome.
My newest FULL version takes almost 300mb of memory, when like.. 4 pages are open.
HL2 takes about that much :O

Have you even bothered to read anything in this thread?
You're comparing opera with a firefox a bug in the previous beta, not this one.
HOLY SHIT ITS FAST!
Thanks. :D

Did you even read the thread?
I was comparing my memory usage to everyone elses, which is still lower.
Don't tell me what I am comparing.

It's sweet but my skin for it won't work :(
Wow! It looks...similar.
It doesn't look too improved. Make a thread when they completely upgrade it.

It's good that they fixed the memory leak but, I won't use it since all the add ons are broken...EVEN GOOGLE TOOL BAR IS BROKEN THE FUCK?
I'm guessing they still have to optimize for release, there is even going to be a beta 4 (or beta 3.5), then the stress test, then the release.
Still have a month and a half of development left a lot can happen.
Crap! I installed this version and FireFTP doesn't work with it, which means I can't update my site lol.
I'm a mad man, I made all my extensions compatible using Nightly Tester Tools...
It's good, but unless you fap over new web stuff and all that, there isn't too much change.
They did finally fix the copy-and-paste bug though.
Edit:
And it succeeds in Acid2...

Runs faster then Opera for me :P
14 tabs.
Just get more RAM if you guys are so cock stuffed about how much it takes.

8 tabs open. I think I'll stick with IE.
Choosing IE over Firefox is like choosing a station wagon over a Corvette, a station wagon may be more economical, but the Corvette is so much better.
If you are one of the people who are so fucking goddamn shitfaced about RAM usage, then quit bitching your ass off and try this neat trick to make Firefox use tiny amounts of RAM, around 5-30Mb when minimized, it will grow after minimized though but to a maximum of around 60Mb.
I thought it was just a cheap-ass rip off of a tweak when I first came across it but then I thought "who the fuck worries about RAM usage when their browser window is actually maximized as long as it doesn't go sluggish and crash like a whore?".
So here goes...
1. Open Firefox and go to the Address Bar. Type in about:config and then press Enter.
2. Right Click in the page and select New -> Boolean.
3. In the box that pops up enter config.trim_on_minimize. Press Enter.
4. Now select True and then press Enter.
5. Restart Firefox.
Opera is still faster for me.
I think it's because firefox has more features whereas opera is downloaded as a bare, stripped down browser that you add plugins as you go

Opera Plugins? WHERE?
Or do you refer to widgets?
It's looking good, only problem is a lot of the addons don't work with it.
Fuck this I'm downgrading.
Ya know what this reminds me of?
