What the fuck, My post isn't appearing?
I used to use Firefox as my default web browser but am learning that Internet Explorer is much better in my opinion.
I compared three of the biggest web browsers and they are Safari, Firefox, and Internet Explorer, and the reason why you may find that Firefox crashes more often is because it takes almost double the memory as IE. So when you're downloading a 3GB file and you get to 91% and then it crashes, what do you do?
Well if you use Internet Explorer, you don't need to worry, the download isn't part of the browser and doesn't crash with it. Safari, although better animated, etc takes a whopping 60,000K memory. That's horrible.
Anyway, here is a screen of my findings, sorry that the picture may not be of the finest quality.

If you have a decent amount of ram this shouldn't bother you
I barely crash with Firefox
Firefox never crashes for me. Internet Explorer on the other hand... crashes a lot for me...
I think it's just more about your taste and opinion.
I don't get it, as of now my firefox memory usage is 128K, no crashes as of now, and that happens most of the time.
Also, what about opera?
Edit: IE crashes when opening a youtube video
What are you talking about firefox takes 100,000k Memory which is nothing. Internet Explorer has more exploits and security faults. Anyways in joy all your viruses.
Hmmm, 60k is a lot? My Firefox uses 150k+ memory. Do I win a prize?
Firefox kicks everythings elses ass :D
Firefox is much better, faster, cooler. IE is so... last gen?
Firefox only crashes when dodgy advertisements come up.
One word.
Opera.
Even with my old 512 RAM stick (now I have 1.2GB), I never had problems with it.

Hmm I don't know. You may be right about the security thing. Also, I have 2GB of DDR2 800 so I don't think that's it. Safari might be better security wise I suppose since Mac's hardly ever get virus's.
It's really your choice, but I prefer firefox.

Opera.
Thanks. Downloading it now.
My Firefox used to and still does. Use 900,000+KB.
Fuckin lags to hell.
But I switched to beta five and it's all good.
Well I'm sitting here using my FoxyTunes and EasyGestures and Grab and Drag extensions like crazy and FireFox is doing just fine ... do you think maybe it's your setup?
I haven't had anything crash on me in firefox, but I'm not going to go bash IE.
You should try Firefox 3 when it is released. It is said to be less memory-hungry, and supports re-downloading, as well as many other new features :)

It could be I suppose. I might be exaggerating how much it crashes but it's really annoying how whenever it does happen it's when I'm downloading a 1GB file or something.
FUCK IE

You should use a download manager. - Opera Has one built in, Along with an email client, Torrent client.. etc... And still manages to use less memory than firefox :downs:
FDM Is a good download manager.
I remember when Opera was unable to view embedded youtube videos. They've probably fixed it by now but that's why I stopped using it, because everybody started embedding videos on FP.
I'm an Opera man myself, I went from IE to Firefox to Opera and I find it best in most situations but I always have Firefox there on my desktop for the odd thing.
I love Firefox. I have 3GB of RAM so it doesn't bother me. I hardly crash on Firefox. I did on IE..A lot.
The disadvantages of IE far outweigh a little memory/download problem you may be having.
IE 7 has been great to me.
I use it as my default browser and have had zero problems with it.
If it ever does crash, It's because Flash or Java fucked up while trying to run a application through IE 7.
Everyone loves firefox. The reason I use it is because IE closes itself whenever I open a new tab. Every single time.

I've only ever had Firefox crash on me. And it the only browser I know that manages to lose my bookmarks on an almost regular basis. I stopped using Opera when it added support for Torrents. I never did look into turning it off.
It just boils down to Personal preference.
Ohmyfuckinggod!
Your firefox is using FIFTEEN MEGS OF RAM!
HOLY FUCKING SHIT!
WHAT THE FUCK!
