I too have been looking. No results.
I too have been looking. No results.
I think they're trying to SET the record, like set the bar and have the first ever record for most downloads. I could be wrong though
Opera is much better if you don't want to download any addons. It has content blocker by default, has better tabbing system, is faster etc.

Does the latest Firefox fix that damn thing where the OK button is greyed out when you try to download stuff? ._. Or the 100% CPU Usage thing?
I'm surprised that Poland is #2 on the pledgers.

It is supposed to be like that, so you don't click it on mistake, just click it twice
I did it :D
<3 Firefox.
It is supposed to be like that, so you don't click it on mistake, just click it twice
Sometimes I click it 15 times and it stays grey, I don't want the "feature".
Almost everybody has Firefox 3 (Release Candidate, which is basically the thing after beta, it's pretty much done at this point.) already on this forum though.
If you're that excited about getting it, just download the release candidate, bugs are nearly non-existent by this point.
I don't want the "feature".
I think it can be turned off.
EDIT:
Maybe this is what you are looking for but it seems to only work for addons.
I pledged :excited:
What the... 9 people in Iraq. I bet those are some internet addicted
Canada has so little because 3/4 us don't get fast internet.
But you get baged milk
I downloaded it yesterday...
Does that count?
EDIT: Ohhh, the ACTUAL release. :P
I already got the RC, so yeah. :3
I'm in!
What is the current record they have to beat?
What is the current record they have to beat?
Apparently there is no record yet.
Do we have to reach a specific number of downloads in order to set the record?
This is the first record attempt of its kind so there is no set number. We'd really like to outdo the number of Firefox 2 downloads on its launch day, which was 1.6 million. Let's shoot for 5 million--the sky is the limit!
I pledged before this thread started. Also, in case the new version doesn't support the greasemonkey Firefox add-on, here's an add-on that will force compatibility.

Albania has 17000 pledges
I hope all of you that see countries in Africa and such with numbers realize that any one can do that. I'm in America but I could easily put Egypt and such.
I pledged. I've been a Firefox user for quite a while as I'm sure many other Facepunchers.
Yep, i pledged. The Record will be broken!
US with the most pledges! With... Albania in 2nd place?
Because his comment was correcting a poster saying USA won against Russia, by saying he meant Iraq?
Both are related to the US on some way, however only 1 is related to russia.
I was kidding, dammit. :argh:
Cold war isn't exactly a modern development, so I corrected the previous poster adhering to the fact that US still has more downloads than Iraq...
Yeah, a pretty nerdy joke. :(
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_Civil_War
maybe you should shut you ruskie mouth and learn your own history huh? :p
Oh come on, that was cheap.
US with the most pledges! With... Albania in 2nd place?
