You gotta remember some people use proxy so those countries like Iraq might be proxy.
They select the country, they don't need a proxy to select a random country.
I use Opera, sorry.
You might be using opera now, but why not give the new firefox a try, up until recently I was convinced that safari was the best web browser.
I use Opera, sorry.
Okay.
It's included in Windows, You won't get firefox when installing windows. You'll have to download Firefox. So it's kinda obivious that IE has got the most users.
That doesn't make firefox the most used browser on the web, though, which is what the person I responded to was saying.

But it makes it the most used browser available for download, and how many would use IE if it didn't come with windows do you think?

Every Windows XP user who wanted to update their computer.
When will they be releasing it exactly? Because I don't really check my email.

You really think people would download IE if it wasn't a default browser?
I see no things that IE can do better than Firefox

Here's one.
Windows Update
Firefox can't do it. Which was my point, if you don't have automatic updates turned on you need IE to update Windows XP. That's pretty much the only thing I use IE for anymore.
Didn't the EU make Microsoft not include IE and WMP with Windows? If so, do those people download IE?
*Cough* Safari *Cough*

No, they didn't. I didn't know about that windows update thing, but why would one disable automatic updates?

Why would anyone in their right mind want to use Windows Update?..
No, they didn't. I didn't know about that windows update thing, but why would one disable automatic updates?
No clue, but there is an option to do it, so I assume the option was created because certain users want or need it.

Firefox 3 is aiming for a new record, most software downloads in 24 hours. You can take your pledge now and you'll get an e-mail and be a statistic on the map. The date for Firefox 3's release is not yet announced but is set for June.

Firefox owns Internet Explorer!
I've already pledged. :)
I'm pretty sure there was already a thread on this a few days ago, but yeah i already pledged too.
What's the old record?
Firefox owns Internet Explorer!
Too bad IE is closer to owning the world than Firefox :X
What's the old record?

Do we have to reach a specific number of downloads in order to set the record?
This is the first record attempt of its kind so there is no set number. We'd really like to outdo the number of Firefox 2 downloads on its launch day, which was 1.6 million. Let's shoot for 5 million--the sky is the limit!
Message too short
Hopefully they release it soon :)
It seems a bit buggy in gmail on Windows though, it keeps reloading all images (and freezing while doing so)
What's the old record?
Are you using RC1, I don't have that issue.
Edit:
I heard Flash player has like 8 million downloads a day
I think that's because the average Linux user has to download it 14 times for it to work. :v:
Pledged.
