I liked alien swarm a lot and I'll probably like this too. I for one, am unironically going to buy it. It's fucking coming out right alongside the estimated dates for Windows 10 and the new AMD cards so I might not actually get it if I'm dropping some dough on hardware.
I'll probably give it a try. Doesn't seem any worse than Postal 1.
The PC is called "The Antagonist", which makes me wonder if there's going to be "The Protagonist" later on in the game. Really that's what interests me most about this game, people have focused on the Killing Simulator aspect for so long that I'm curious to see if the game goes anywhere interesting with it.
I thought his name was "Not Important"
I'm totally convinced that this is just a generic twin-stick shooter that sells itself on being edgy and offensive.
Well that kind of is what absolutely all of the evidence points to.
Some people see this game as a killing simulator. I see a game which explores the mind of a man who has gone full postal and off the deep end.
He hasn't gone full postal until he's shown his bare ass.
Looks fun, I'll probably pick it up if it isn't too expensive
from youtube description
Fun fact is that we wanted to release it on May 19th, but our team will be occupied with playing The Witcher 3 at the time. :D
Can't wait to slit my wrists and play this, I'm going to have a bloody good time. *tips top hat*

I doubt this is what actually goes through a spree killer's mind.
This is hilarious and I'll probably end up buying it While the message is retarded, the gameplay and the graphics look really neat.
While the message is retarded, the gameplay and the graphics look really neat.
Message? Do you mean "let's go and make something ultra hardcore cos there's nothing hardcore"? I don't see how that's retarded to be honest.
I think that's the main weird thing about Hatred is that it's just so utterly shocking that something so completely stupid and edgy can come from a team of fully grown adults without the slightest hint of self-awareness. Either the devs are playing the long game with the whole "only pretending to be retarded" thing or this really a completely genuine Coldsteel the Hedgehog game.
you don't have to show any self-awareness to actually be self-aware. anyways the dialogue in this is so absurd that i don't think someone who honestly believes what they're writing is truly hardcore would actually write it. remember, in the trailer before this, there was honest to god the line "these vermin think their walls can save them". you can't write that and not see how ridiculous it is.

tbh the game doesn't look very fun the way its set up looks like an arcade game and i can see myself getting bored with it really quickly (also that black and white filter is shit)
anyone who actually buys this needs to go on a watchlist. fuck this game and anyone who likes it.
Bought ;)
I hope TotalBiscuit and/or SuperBunnyHop reviews this.
TB will, he did a video or two on the controversy and it's obvious he has some interest in this game.
looks like it will kind of fun, but I will buy it once it's on sale
What i really love is that i saw what looks like a sense of 'escelation'. The sandbags, the barricades, the armored vehicles. It gives a better sense of a world that's reacting to what you're doing, rather than just the civilians running away, and the only opposition is increasingly bigger waves of generic patrol officers.
GTA had other shit to do and you were considered "messing around" if you just drove around killing people. The story missions are like Scorsese movies, chronicles of a criminal kingpin. The primary goal of this is to kill innocent people. How are those two things comparable?

Then it's cleverly designed social commentary or some shit. Otherwise it is taken dead-serious. I blame the internet.
The PC is called "The Antagonist", which makes me wonder if there's going to be "The Protagonist" later on in the game.
Nah, it's probably just because that's exactly what an edgy teen would think up 'cause it sounds cool, 'The Antagonist". So hardcore.
Then there will be a spin-off game called "Lovely" where you play as a hippie spreading joy and love in a colorful setting.
Doesn't matter, Chin is still better at committing genocide
This game really does look like they're trying to make Postal 1 again, the way that game played out was almost exactly the way this seems to be going. And Postal 1 was already pretty fucked up and not particularly fun to play.

In older GTAs like 3, an entire minigame called Rampage(its in V for Trevor and has been a staple of the series since it was in the firsts) where you just kill people for points and its entirely the objective. Trevors slightly more story driven but you are just killing people once again as the goal. Killing, destruction and committing crimes has been the major point of all GTAs, thats exactly what most of those story missions involve btw.
Those animations for the SWAT guys are really good and convincing looking for a top-down sort of game. Even the police cars and stuff rolling up was really cool looking. I'm actually kind of interested now.
He looks like THE most stereotypical murderer in the world.... and I love it, I want to play this game pretty dang bad :v:
if you can pick up floating mp3s playing heavy metal for temporary invulnerability I won't be shocked
I want multiplayer and a Dylan and Eric Co-op pack.
Looks pretty meh, like something that would get easily dull after 5 minutes.
