First time I've used a tablet. I'm a bit shit at it still.
don't use soft brushes [editline]14th January 2013[/editline] ever
Thanks. Looks a bit better now.
Still a bit silly, but it's twenty times better already now that it doesn't look like you took an out-of-focus photograph of a painting instead.
anyone like my valve logo? [thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/Valvelogo_1080.png[/thumb]
anyone like my valve logo? [thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/Valvelogo_1080.png[/thumb]
Do you mean does anyone like your recolour of the valve logo? :v: It's not bad but the low contrast makes the title hard to read and the green is a sorta ugly muddy colour, at least on my screen (but my screen colours ARE way off on yellow and I need to fix it some time)
im proud of myself
it lacks texture and material definition but the design is balls to the wall awesome
Thanks. Looks a bit better now.
is that homer simpson?

If so does that mean THIS was Homer Simpson as well
it's homer simpson's cousin from the depths of hell

Re-drawing an old pic of mine. I'll post the old version with the final. Criticism welcomed before I start rendering it.
Her eyebrows look a little oddly placed, and her skull looks a bit strange on our left at the top. Neck might be a tad thick. That's nitpicking though, otherwise it looks great.
it's pretty popular, you can get videos like this which you play full screen on your phone/tablet w/e and drag it along in the dark to make the object
Nice
Thanks, nitpicking is what I need.
my snow boner demands me more snow drawings
is that homer simpson?
Well, now I can't unsee it. Added a better neck. Looks less Homeric now.
Remember that y'all ladies and gentlehobbits can submit work to our DeviantArt group! I try to check it daily to accept submissions and membership applications
Basically done. Torn over whether or not I should make a black background or just fix it. There's things about it I'm starting to notice that I don't like about it, and I feel like if I leave it unfixed and still "open for fidgeting" I'll over-work the drawing.
never add a black background as an afterthought, especially for a pen drawing. It gives everything a super ghostly look, so unless that's what you're going for don't do it

If I were to add one, it would kind of be a faded ordeal from the bottom left to the upper right. Mostly it'd just be to outline her back and I like the contrast between dark and light.
Well, this neither came easy nor turned out well. :/
Arms too long, outlines too defined, shapes too lumpy, perspective seems off, bad integration of different elements within the pieces, big contrast between blurry vs non blurry objects, confusing composition, wrong lighting (the door looks tiny on the wall yet its the length of the entire room towards the camera), and the smoke just looks ridiculous.
I re-drew over one of my painting as Ariel. The top one is from December 2011, about a year ago. What really bums me out is that I thought the top one was actually good as some point. Lord Almighty. Anyways, re-drawing it has made me feel better. Full pic of Ariel at a better resolution found on my dA. Also, soft shoe doodle... May have been an accident, but I think it was a happy one.
I re-drew over one of my painting as Ariel.
I agree with lucky, the top one looks a little sloppier in execution but overall I like it more. Partly because Ariel's hairstyle looks pretty odd to me though, you've put her parting down on the side of her head just a little too far I'd say, and it's very puffy looking (I know it's meant to be underwater and all but still, it just looks excessive at the parting). It also looks very solid and shaped, and again, I know her hair is meant to be like that technically, but it just seems odd when you do it like that in a more realistic style.
An endangered jaguar, awareness type poster I'm working on. Still need to fit in some body copy and a logo. The typeface/title is also temporary. It's been too long since I practiced with my tablet since I usually do vector stuff, but I gave photoshop painting another whirl for this illustration.
i guess the color scheme is symbolic or some bullshit artsy meaningful thing
