Working on my pixel drawing skills.
Is it a poop of sorts?

Inspired by Feng's latest design cinema I wanted to try some green colour schemes and roots.
Based on a request, Jonah Hex and John Marston in the last scene from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Constructive criticism and/or advice would be welcomed. I'm aware of a few things (hand sizes, Hex's right arm, Marston's left shoulder, Hex's longcoat) and I really need to zoom out when I'm drawing bigger things. But still, I'd appreciate any help you guys could provide.
Is it a poop of sorts?
I believe it is a rock sprite for Cortex Command (at least, looks like the same color scheme)

Any tips?
I can already tell that all of those 3 planets are the same. Also think more about lightning. This is in space, so the shadows are almost always clearly seperated. The biggest planet, which is closest to the view, should have more shadows than the lit area. Something like almost rim lightning. As the planets go further, the lit area will also expand, but that also based on the positions. Here are what I thought this image could use: If the planets are all infront of the lightsource (Sun) If the lightsource is in the middle of the planets. Looks like she's smiling rather than questioning. Or is she suppose to look like that?
Her expression is very ambiguous yeah
looks like a primary school teacher
Think I'm getting better at this.

Hot damn. That's pretty much better than all of my works combined.. First try with acrylics since the age of ~7. I'm not that confident with eyes yet so I just left them out (for now). Also here's just the pencil sketch if anyone's interested:
Think I'm getting better at this.
Nice. Honestly I prefer the second step to all the rest - the end result feels a tad overworked. Either way definitely take off the last step, that texture you added looks randomly placed and why would a rock be all crinkly anyway [editline]19th January 2013[/editline] Another gesture with the interior lines cleaned up and the figure lit. I recently just trying to start a new comic series of my own and it's Hugely influenced by Titanium rain Graphic Novel Need some critics over here!
Need some critics over here!
the painting is a bit sloppy on the aircraft but i can totally understand it because very hard-surface and reflective things like planes can be difficult to paint, especially when it comes to the perspective which you have messed up in most panels. it's kinda jarring especially because the in-cockpit stuff is painted pretty nicely as someone obsessed with military aircraft, there's a couple of things that strike me as a bit inaccurate, such as the trigger to release a missile in a US aircraft (there's a button on the pilot-facing side of the stick, usually in red for missile release, not a trigger) but i guess most people aren't bothered like i am i'm sure you'll learn a lot from a large painting exercise like this but if you're planning to take it further and plan to make something of it, you might want to hold off until your skills have improved. do some painting studies of aircraft too
yeah, the comic i posted above is just a test for my planned comic.i might keep improving my drawing skills before i start out. but thanks for your critic again.
Are you planning to print this on paper? The comic is pretty long for a single page and i don't really see a break to split it into two.
So there I was, holding on for dear life. The cruise ship I was on is sliding up a mountainside, crumbling, breaking into bits. Every boulder that this missive man-made floating hotel hit causes more and more of it's mass to dissipate and slide alongside us. As I looked down, hanging from the guard rail, I was hypnotized by the blur the ground made as it flew by. Suddenly, the ship breaks in two, and I get flung to the deck, still hanging on so tight that I can hear the tendons in my arm start to rip. I regain my balance, realizing we started to go up even faster. The hot breeze scorched my skin as we lifted off the mountaintop and into the sky, piercing the bright white clouds. The sky grew dark and I grow faint, we were now headed towards the sun. I hold on to my pet chinchilla, Luv-Bug, and I reassure I will not let him go. The final image of this great ship exists as only a faint silhouette against the portrait of our star. Reverse Titanic, by Me

Secondly it just feels like a guy going "this looks pretty cool together" Also overuse of blending options makes everyone sad. It's hard to describe but I'm getting no vibe at all.
First of all, lens flare is a HUGE no in design.
please don't make sweeping statements like this; used subjectively, lens flare can be great
