I really like it. The word that came to mind was immersive, because I'd been looking deeply into it 12 seconds before I thought of anything other than interpreting the scene.

It's amazing!
The ambiguity of the forms in the foreground is an issue. I'm not talking about confusion over what it actually is, but the sense of depth is a bit confused and it's tricky to tell if I'm looking at the bit where the ocean meets the land, or the silhouette of a small hill or cliff against the lighter water. After a little looking I can figure it out, but the read on it needs to be a bit clearer. It's just the way that little jutting bit of land meets the water - something's a bit off there.
I'm still pretty new to digital painting and used this more to just get my hands wet and learn some.

First real life painting I did of a person in about 3 hours. No sketch just watercolor, it was pretty fun. I'm thinking of doing a set of 4, a 3 hours, a 1 hour, 30 mins, and 15 mins to show how the form, color, and all that changes with lower times. Might be an interesting portfolio piece. I tried the 1 hour one and it didn't end up good I might have to change my technique.

You act like some political philosopher, but, in all honesty, there is nothing moving, original or meaningful about that particular drawing. You are drawing simple fan art with poor values, an odd background and incorrect anatomy. What is your point of this piece, and what is the point about making such grand assumptions about the people on this thread after getting less than a dozen reactions?

I like everything other than the goggle strap location. It might look better with the strap lower, or no strap at all. Other than that, its amazing.

I would check your perspective and whatnot though - currently the fence-posts in the mid-ground appear to be just below the horizon line, yet the actual horizon is far above them.
Otherwise it's pretty hot. Are you using grass brushes or is that grass in the foreground all hand-drawn?

This is great too! Some soft, cold lighting on the left side of his face would bring the forms out a little more and make it look a bit more finished

His body looks very oddly placed with the neck. It's like the neck is higher than it should be.
