This is my first attempt at pixel art/animation, ever. I'm pretty happy with it.

His face is moving independently of his head
Looks like a rough gestural sketch that's been blown up way too large to me - I wouldn't worry about petted lines at that point in a drawing
I agree that we're seeing it too large but those lines are still nasty at any stage. Gestural stuff and any sketch at all really should be composed of smooth flowing lines
Artificial Influence just finished 1/26/13... it's about 20 hours of work all together I used Pen, pencil, spray paint, and sharpies.
It definitely looks like you put a lot of effort into it but I don't know why but it reminds me of 80's art. :v:
Probably the usage of rainbow colours. They liked their rainbows in the 80's.

Thanks man lol, yea I was going for a vibe of urban culture, street art and I love the 80's so it all works out i suppose haha
Quick self portrait, used an oldish photo as reference, bumped the levels a bit in post because I realised I wanted a bit more contrast than I had initially given it

I don't think you should use the same brushes to paint people as you do to paint landscapes :v:
Not as a general rule, just because of those big chunky chalk brushes you favour

I agree, I'll definitely tone down the brush texture for the next one
Done a video thing too

Animation stuff. I know it slightly goes a bit higher.
Really nice to watch iMG, great stuff
Thanks
although I based it on an npc from an obscure game called 'Pathologic', a strange Russian horror game that I don't plan to play anytime soon.

Personally I think the arms swing too much during the walk cycle, but the running looks perfect.
inspired by some Dear Esther

That is the first thing I drew on a tablet in 2010.
I elected to re-draw it to see how much I'd improved over the years. But I got a bit carried away, and with some inspiration I drew a metro instead:

I've jolted it down, and it doesn't have what I usually lay the most focus on: comfortable composition, a creative idea and good colors. However it does have my signature analness of details. It's still pretty WIP but once I get zoomed in and detailing there's no stopping me. I got a party to go to now but I'll finish it tomorrow, and I can't wait.
EDIT: Now with 5000% more texture brushes.
I've always been drawing with a default round brush with pen pressure on and sometimes transfer. So this is my first picture using texture-y brushes.
Dat atmosphere. Love it. The light on the left side is fantastic.
His face is moving independently of his head
I was trying to make it look like it had more weight, so it took longer to move. It does kind of look weird, though.

Haha
The image isn't hugely accurate, but it's got a good likeness
How did you imagine me? AM I NOT HANDSOME ENOUGH FOR YOU MAC AM I NOT HANDSOME ENOUGH

Your facial features look too wide/large for your head based on that perspective
Of course I don't know what the reference looks like so I could be wrong

i thought you were a computer with many arms and the main screen always showed your avatar. also i always imagined your voice as a serious man full of wisdom procedurally generated by the computer.
but you were just a human
and i'm a pig

I just checked it against a similar photo - you're right, I think! I can't find the actual reference though; it was my FB profile pic, and now that I've replaced it with this image that photo has vanished. If I come across it in the next day or so I'll post it though.

You look way older than I'd imagined.
I imagined you were like 16 or 17 to be honest. :v:
[editline]27th January 2013[/editline]
Though you are one ~stunning stallion~, so don't be blue: if I'd go gay I'd do it for you.
[editline]27th January 2013[/editline]
I rhyme better than dr. Dre even when talking about going gay.

That is incredibly neat, but I think it could benefit you if the river at the foot of the waterfall was moved to the right to keep the illusion of its perspective.
@Maloof? - that's amazing, wish i could draw that good.

That reminds me of... what is it again? Oh yes, Starhawk.

While I love the picture I can't help but feel something is off with the lack of definition between the rocks/moss/grass and the fields in the background.
But whadda I know? :v:
