Depends on what your purpose is for doing the photostudy

If you're looking at fine rendering and texture, then yeah keep going

If you're looking at lighting, forms and tones then you don't really need to go too hard out

It would help you more as an artist to do some studies of your own instead of trying to draw exactly like cuteosphere, her work is super stylized

This one is a fair bit longer than the others due to the amount of time it took to do the actual paintings. As always, I took a lot of breaks to muck about, talk to people, look up references, etc. Creative commons music credits in the description.

I like the water on this one, but you should really rethink your approach to brush strokes imo. I mean, they almost don't blend, and at the same time I have a strong feeling that they are too transparent. I know you don't want to render your pieces, so try just to use a bit more transitional colours, I think it could help. Oh yeah, and the lighting on the building is a bit strange, considering that the source is behind the wave. But that could just be your problem with the values, that you have on almost every single picture you draw. No offence.

The one with the rocket is absolutelly badass, though.

I'm looking at my brush technique at the moment a bit - we had a big talk about it a page or two back.

I thought the lighting was pretty accurate in this one; the translucent water behind the structure acts as a light source as it scatters the sunlight. Perhaps the highlights on the structure are a bit too strong?

Could you go into the value issue a little bit if you have time?

Sadly, the perspective of the legs is still a bit off.

WOW. I like how some of the leaves look life-like. And the far city looks really nice.

Things that are bothering me:
- You used white, instead of bright yellow/orange for the sun.
- Messy white strokes in the foreground. If it is suppose to be some kind of flares from the sun, soften it.

Should the pagoda cast a shadow on the bushes? To me it seems like the pagoda is further away, while the bushes are really close to the view.
