You obviously didn't look very hard then: https://www.google.com/search?q=intuos5&aq=f&sugexp=chrome,mod%3D16&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=en&tbo=u&tbm=shop&source=og&sa=N&tab=wf&ei=s_3NUOuOOY3M0AXRwYGgBg#hl=en&gs_nf=3&gs_rn=1&gs_ri=serp&tok=vDv2-HfeRUAATTk8MRm93g&ds=sh&pq=intuos5&cp=9&gs_id=8&xhr=t&q=intuos5+large&pf=p&safe=off&biw=1920&bih=979&tbm=shop&sclient=psy-ab&oq=intuos5+l&gs_l=&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.r_qf.&bvm=bv.1355325884,d.d2k&fp=6d865bd94890724a&bpcl=39967673
Heh, I was looking a couple of weeks ago and the cheapest I found was well over $400; wrote it down and everything! [editline]16th December 2012[/editline] Apparently all the cheap ones are for academic use; presumably there's no difference except the box/price-tag?
What, you did that whole black area with the same tiny brush? You need help
kinda? in the corners i moved one size up [editline]16th December 2012[/editline]
I'm not sure if this is the right for you to post this..
cuz its in paint? here have some real shit you made me plug in my scanner
some of your paintings are a bit weird in the styles and themes they mix. like really flat unatmospheric lighting with very contemporary, maybe even old-fashioned architecture, and then a random sci-fi element slapped on. it's odd
Honestly, exactly in this picture I like the contrast between so familiar architecture like that house, and the spaceship. It's not completely generic at least.
Quarter 1 demo reel for school I don't like the school stuff since it's kinda lame plus Vimeo put it a tad out of sync
I love all your different masks.
Trying to draw Gaben, but so far it's just a human version of Tingle from Majora's Mask with a crooked minigun.
A female friend asked me to draw her a picture. I was like: What do you want me to draw? her: Draw me an unicorn... some fantasy stuff ... but all I do is drawing b/w portraits and such stuff However I gave it a shot... Do you mean that it's more the sort of thing you'd see in a traditional, calm landscape painting and less like what you'd see in a sci-fi film composition?
Because it's as close to tracing it as you can get without tracing it? It's barely art it's like connect the dots or some shit
Idiot.
That'd be impressive if it wasn't gridded and if the ref wasn't pinned a centimetre from your drawing surface, as it is I don't know why you'd even bother doing it
Idiot. If that was connect the dots then any schmuck could do it, but that won't happen. You know, like, rendering for example, which looks great there. That cannot be done from a grid - it cannot be done without experience.
and suddenly BAM guns order is from new to old shameless SELF PROMOTION ! They're not very original...

Messin with practicing anatomy
What's that "red" part on his forehead?
I dunno, just some random robot marking [editline]17th December 2012[/editline] I just like to add misc little unusual design things to my photostudies/practice images to keep it interesting
ai i've said this before but maybe you should try illustrating a scene with some kind of story because it's very obvious now you're more than competent at drawing and rendering humans from imagination
[t]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/8702336/AI_Drawings/2012/221.png[/t] Here's a couple happy about their car cause it's a sweet ride yo is that a story, i'm not very good with stories.
Idiot.
Great argument you got me convinced
If that was connect the dots then any schmuck could do it, but that won't happen. You know, like, rendering for example, which looks great there. That cannot be done from a grid - it cannot be done without experience.
Late, and go read my post following that, it's more comprehensive. Anyone can do it. But you're right, it won't happen, because I doubt very many people take up art and then use grids and that. It's like taking up singing and then relying on autotuning and post-production. It's not what it's about.
how so ?
they just look a bit generic like I could probably look at any game like TF2 and find something similar
It's like taking up singing and then relying on autotuning and post-production. It's not what it's about.
Pretty much every professional musician does that, even the ones people think don't.
peeps was askin about that ship I posted; here's a WIP design drawing I'm working on My first time properly trying actual design line art and whatnot In the original painting that I put the ship in it just came out of some spontaneous forms; it wasn't planned at all other than me having the desire to 'make it pointy'
they just look a bit generic like I could probably look at any game like TF2 and find something similar
but but, I did them from scratch, mostly in class using only my imagination and memory. The thing is, I'm not an engineer, and apart from the sci fi ones I can't really create new mechanism of firing. Also I wish I knew how to make 3D, so you could ACTUALLY see them in TF2 or else :( I also have some projects (drawn on paper but still not rendered on PC, so they look sketchy) [thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/img018.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/img0212.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/img0282.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/img0292.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/img0302.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/img0322.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/img0371.jpg[/thumb] (while I was browsing them I decided to add more :v ) also I have some weird models that I didn't show you on the first place [thumb]http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2012/116/6/9/rail_gun_coloured_by_arziben-d4xnwmw.png[/thumb] tl:dr: but ?
Thumb god dammit
Pretty much every professional musician does that, even the ones people think don't.
Every professional musician relies on autotuning? Nah I'm not talking about cleaning up your tracks in protools or something, for my simile to be parallel I mean someone who can't work live. And yeah there are bands who are shit live, nobody I listen to though afaik Offtopic anyway, art Partial ref, painted straight Gonna do more like this, it's quick way to work
Neck is abnormally long
Yeah. The neck of the turtleneck is supposed to be splaying onto her shoulders, but I didn't get that across well so it looks like it's neck all the way down. :/
