Anyone got advice on how to paint clouds?
Think of them like turds

It's for an article about the worsening smog pollution issues in China.

I have to disagree. Think of the entire thing as an entity, not individual sections. Look up some painting tutorials by Bob Ross for example. It will make them seem more dynamic.
Looked through some bookmarked art from Hayao Miyazaki's movies. I really like the clouds, maybe they'll inspire you

In that case it's actually awesome and perfectly reasonable.

I don't think of it as sectors, but you can't just draw a random shape and call it a cloud. To get the right form for that whole entity you need to look for something that is present in every single shape of cloud of that type. I found out that that one entity is made up of turds, it's because wind blows, creates a turbulence and "rolls up" the clouds multiple times.

simplify to 3 shades they said
Blurred water, 100 filters, could you have picked a worse reference? Study is all about learning how real light and colors work, therefore you need to draw from real life or a very un-edited photograph with good composition and contrast.

Also, another thing to keep in mind with clouds is how sunlight diffuses through them

You can make a piece look overcast by having a solid layer of clouds with light coming through

In the style i think you're going for, a cloud could be light grey strokes in the sky with white highlights towards the light. If you're going for a realistic approach, look at what rikimaru6811's said. :)

Yeah! Glad someone could notice hehe. He was a big inspiration for the general feel I wanted to create.
I think I'm done? Should I fix or change anything?

I would disagree - I like the pen-drawing look of it. Looks like something you'd see in Bag End hanging on the wall

Edit: Don't know why it needs specified, but obviously it's in progress and I tend to replace most things over time that are particularly sub par, but anything that just doesn't sit with you would be nice to know
That image almost crashed my browser, can you upload it to a smaller size next time, or link it?
I haven't posted in this thread in a little while, but over the last few weeks and months I've just been fooling around with different letters, colors, and styles. I'm trying to finesse my style to become closer to the visions I see.

Weapons that can be performed really fast should represent the cheetah well enough. So short things like sticks will do.
Loving the progress so far.
Putting 2 very small oversights aside, that looks awesome.

Area around the left clock = (1)
Area around the right clock = (2)
The (1) (which is on the dark side ) is not clearly defined based on the overall drawing's value range. Say, if the brightest area is the (2), then (1) is only 1 value lower than (2). Try to make it looks only a bit darker than or equal to the top area.

You meant that the left clock is not dark enough? I didn't fully understand that sentence, sorry. I did that because right one is reflecting the sun, and the left one is illuminated by a lamp. I did shade it with 2H, but it's not visible on a photograph. If you meant something other, do tell, in fact, I encourage every one to tell anything that looks wrong to the eye, in response to any pictures posted here by anyone, even if you can't explain why. It will help a lot.
For example, I think that the far away trees are too bright, it's a clear day, they shouldn't be under such heavy atmospheric perspective. Plus their position is downhill against the sunny side and they should be in twilight.
