I scrolled down and saw this while I was listening to [URL="http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=CybO7XtYpdU"]this song[/URL]. I just stared at it for the rest of the song being in a perfect zen state. It was amazing.
Before anyone says anything positive the lines are directly traced. I've been doing a lot of pen-n'-paper studies and practice so I rewarded myself with a few hours of digital. Just trying to get a grasp on using large brushes with high opacity/blend to shade skin/faces. Eyes and hair are still a no go but it's getting there.

Seeing as a WIP, it's ok.
I'm really insecure about adding contrast with dark values, as a colorblind painter I honestly never feel comfortable slathering on blacks or darker shades because I can seldom actually tell what color they're supposed to be. Not to mention even then it's crazy difficult to blend them convincingly.
Also I'm kind of going for a washed out feel anyway, I like to edit my photos that way as well.

Nononono, don't take me the wrong way, I'm just deficient with reds and greens, so a lot of times pink will look white until someone points it out to me, or red and brown can get mixed up. I'm not like 100% grayscale, that's actually crazy rare. For males red and green deficiency is pretty common actually.
For example these colors could be identical or completely different, I can't tell.

Yeah, I know I'm bad in anatomy and all that stuff, and I should work on it. Just don't have enough time and strenght to do it often. So, may be you can give me some tips of what's wrong with this particular thing, so I can fix it? Not only the pose, may be some advices about colour, or anything you don't like. You're way better then me, so I think that would be pretty cool.
