Acid prog theme. I edited them afterwards so that they filled up the spaces more comfortably, but I lost the USB with those versions, so whatever.
The last one was reffed obviously.
So I havn't picked up my tablet in about 6 months. so I decided to slip back into things by doing a black and white speed painting. As usual I will show my process and stuffs.
First I flesh out composition, anatomy, light source, blah blah etc.

Next I start with a large brush and fill in, working down to smaller brushes and using softer brushes for shadow and harder for light.

no offense, but without reading the description, it looks like a soldier shooting something out of the air with a chain gun.
Still amazing that you can you can paint like that. Its something you should definitely be proud of.

Its worth mention that I have no formal art study or education, I have never gone into the study of anatomy, and I am mostly self taught, developing my style and techniques over a very long period of time. This is just what I sketch when I'm bored in class.

imo that kind of motion blur (on the arm) doesn't really work with simple drawings and ends up being distracting, try stretching (like the face) instead of motion lines

The script in the upper left is an odd choice for a font.
The size of the script, on top of that, makes it harder to read.
The thingies in the corner are distracting and don't add anything to it.
The drop shadow makes SHADE harder to read
It's also positioned kind of akwardly: the E touches the border but the S has some distance from the other one.
The movement across the the script and over the title suggests I read it backwards.
I think overall it's kind of busy.
Yeah, I can agree with all of that, especially the shadow. I had a hard time reading it as well.

The strong colours everywhere were to make 'em a bit more trippy and difficult to look at, I was trying to be lurid
