So, this guy is streaming 5 days a week and is pissed off that his flatmates are partying. Bitching starts at 18:47 Also, impressive nontheless.
Holy shit
Everybody knows someone like that. And by that, I mean a massive nerd with surpressed anger and a lack of insight into the fact that other people have different preferences and perspectives. You know the type yo. You see the guy and in your mind ur like "yea it's fucking tool time". But instead of Tim Allen appearing there's just some fuckin nerd guy thinking he's all that. Fucking lol.
are there any speed runs that don't involve clipping through walls? just seems cheap. like i like the half life 2 ones where you pick up a can and fly across the world but how can that be considered finishing the game?
why doesn't he just bring his mic closer to his mouth and lower the gain lmao then you wouldn't be able to hear parties so much?

"I'll say like 'okay so I stream on a website', and then right when I say website they're like... and they like start thinking about like, I don't know, like alcohol or something." :v:
are there any speed runs that don't involve clipping through walls? just seems cheap. like i like the half life 2 ones where you pick up a can and fly across the world but how can that be considered finishing the game?
I think some games have categories for speedruns finished using skips/glitches and other categories for speedruns done without skips/glitches. Like how lots of speedrunning games have any% runs (done fast as possible without doing everything in the game) and 100% runs (you do and collect everything possible in the game).
no matter how smart you think you are, if you refer to people you think are less smart than you as "simple people" you're an asshole
no matter how smart you think you are, if you refer to people you think are less smart than you as "simple people" you're an asshole
These people also generally tend to be dumber than the people they're condescending towards

There are no-glitch runs that run the game as the developers intended but those obviously are much longer and, in my opinion, are less interesting because a major appeal of speedrunning is the way the runner interacts with the game in unexpected ways.

if anything i doubled down from your post how is that backpedaling?
So, Did he complete every quest in the game? Or just do a single quest because then it would be speed running a single quest and not completing the game.

It's strange how posts show up every time there's a thread about speed running, speaking about how "speed runs are shit" or asking "how is that actually beating the game?" I kinda get that sometimes it's lame to see a speed-run where they use the same old wall-clipping/player-flinging glitches, or credit warps, and skipping content, but that's just how the games code was broken, so that's what runners will do to get to the end screen as quickly as possible. There are run categories/games which don't make use of those glitches, and they can be fun runs to watch, if watching speed runs is what you're in to. But not liking speed runs and then posting in a thread specifically about a speed run is pretty pointless. It's like telling someone they're playing the game the wrong way because they found a different way to have fun from what you think is fun. I used to get annoyed when my friend's youngest brother would just dick around in video game overworlds, skip cut-scenes, use cheats/console commands to spawn stuff and kill stuff- but then I realized he's just having fun, and I don't have to watch, so what's the problem? Aren't video games meant to be enjoyed? If someone finds more joy in messing shit up in a game than advancing the plot, that's fine. The results can be pretty entertaining from time to time.
Like that one guy who beat a Castlevania game by using an item menu to actually input stuff into the basic coding of the game or something.
Thats known as arbritrary code execution, and thats usually the holy grail to bottom out on a run time.

Donny is a psychopath.
Looks like Sheldon from the big bang theory has fallen on some rough times.
I think there should be room for both and there should appreciation for both, but at what point do you determine gameplay to be legitimate?
No cheats is enough I guess, if you need it more strict - no scripts (which ruins TAS scene and some fascinating segmented runs).
also I guarantee it that at least a 1/4th of the total playtime is in the load screens. Thanks Todd.

"Yeah so I made this prank where I put a girls full name and phone number on craigslist under casual encounters" Yeah that's totally not creepy at all.

I knew this pseudo-intellectual guy who was a lot like this. He used to talk like this, and get angry very easy and start hitting people. Then he wondered why people didn't like him.
There is someone in my major like this and we try to include him, but he acts similarly. I think he's just afraid to come out of his shell. He needs to be laid damn it but he's not exactly... well he's a neckbeard with bigger tits than most of my female friends [editline]15th December 2015[/editline] I've been done feeling bad for him though because there are so many texts where he's cussing people out just because he can't be bothered to leave his dorm
