They do Red Dead Redemption like this, I'll actually consider buying the console
The Witcher 2 hasn't aged that well for a game that came out in 2011.
The Witcher 2 hasn't aged that well for a game that came out in 2011.
I think it's mostly the art style, technically it is still quite solid, but the high contrast, sharpened look they went for has always been quite unappealing to me.
The Witcher 2 hasn't aged that well for a game that came out in 2011.
Considering that 2011 shit out Postal III, Two Worlds II, MindJack, and Dungeon Siege III, I'd say Witcher 2 has aged pretty good.
The Witcher 2 hasn't aged that well for a game that came out in 2011.
I think you're forgetting how games looked in 2011 tbh.
The Witcher 2 hasn't aged that well for a game that came out in 2011.
It's artstyle is weird and the materials/lighting looks a little too shiny
Considering that 2011 shit out Postal III, Two Worlds II, MindJack, and Dungeon Siege III, I'd say Witcher 2 has aged pretty good.
That actually came out? How have I never heard this?
That actually came out? How have I never heard this?
You might want to unhear it
That actually came out? How have I never heard this?
Because it was shit. They made it on source engine, and you needed steam to play it but you could only buy it from their website
As good as Witcher 2 looked it was still really fucken janky looking i don't know what it is but nothing really looked really fluid, textures and shaders were hella for the time but outside of that it had the same problem as a lot of the Bioware games where physics felt non-existent and animations were unconvincing.
That actually came out? How have I never heard this?
No, no, this is the bad Postal III.

That was the definition of jank.
Wow the PC version still looks better than the new port.
Wow the PC version still looks better than the new port.
That's because it's just the 360 version. Although, it would be nice to get a better port of the PC version for newer consoles, but it's nice being able to play a game you already own on a newer console.
Considering that 2011 shit out Postal III, Two Worlds II, MindJack, and Dungeon Siege III, I'd say Witcher 2 has aged pretty good.
I mean, you had Red Dead Redemption that came out the previous year, which I personally think has aged better than The Witcher 2 (It's style at least then anyway)
I mean, you had Red Dead Redemption that came out the previous year, which I personally think has aged better than The Witcher 2 (It's style at least then anyway)
It's not the best aging game, but The Witcher 2 is still worth playing.
Ironically I beat and loved Witcher 2 and couldn't get through Witcher 3. Not because I think Witcher 3 is bad, the story and world is fucking next level AMAZING. I just don't have the will to play 70+hr open world games.

The Witcher 3 is probably going to go down as one of, if not the best games this decade, maybe one of the best to come out in the first two decades of the 21st Century.
Wow the PC version still looks better than the new port.
If you watched the video maybe you could avoid dumb posts like this. The sole reason this is even coming out (and why you won't find it on PS4) is because of Microsoft making an effort to make old titles not just work, but work better than the original. I don't even own a console but why would shit on something like this.

It's like they put more efforts into the side quests and the DLCs than the game overall.
I'm surprised he never mentioned how the 360 version sections off parts of the game with walls, which don't appear in the original PC version. The first town in particular does this: in the 360 version, there's a wall that sections off the area with all the houses (where the blacksmiths are at) into two halves
The Witcher 2's gameplay is the awkward adolescent stage between 1 and 3, but the story and graphics are still top notch. And 3's main story is great too. They're all great games, even the first one which imo is underrated.

I love the universe, and the game is fun, but I need to dedicate a lot of time to play it, which sucks when I got a job and lectures and homework and projects
