There can be some differences when buying CD's and digital tracks but nothing amazing. CD Artwork and hard copy of the CD Rip in any format you want whether it be OGG,FLAC,MP3 or what. I don't know what the future holds for music quality but these extentions are doing fine right now anyway. Limited/Deluxe editions with music videos with many other features such as live recordings. New release albums tend to be high priced compared to digital distribution websites. Where as HMV would sell at a price of £9.99 in store, you could get as low as £5.00 on a digital site or £7.99 order off the retail website. That pretty much sums up a owning a CD. The prices you can get for albums on Ebay even in mint condition which they tend to be are around £2.00/£4.00, discarding new releases. You bought it cheaper then if you would have digitally or in store, have the original source, rip what you prefer whether it be VBR, and have a real backup. If you want to be really clever, order your new release CD's online, rip it when it arrives and sell it brand new on ebay for little or no more than for what you bought it. There you go, £2.00 for a new album. There isn't any downsides to owning a CD or doing it digitally. You can't lose either way really , it's just the effeciency in how you expand your music collection. Some people like the bonus tracks, some collect the music videos or even artwork to go with it.

In my Signles CD album (CD's where I only have one CD by the group) they don't stay in order because I buy them so often and then I'd have to move everything. I also buy Cd's every chance I get so we have quite a few and they are pretty random, but I like them all. I'm a little older, and it's very hard to pick out what actual taste of music I have, plus I've been around a while, and found all the shit in the 80's and 90's captivating. I sometimes buy a CD when they're cheap. Bought "Standing in the way of control" by Gossip, before that I bought Justice's album and Peter Dohertys solo album. I also bought a Radiohead Best Of which was a waste of money because I have every album and usually listen to albums, not songs. Guess it's good as a gift though. Nice arm pit hair. 280 artists, 558 albums. I own all of these Cd's, I don't download music. I'd type them all but that will take me forever, maybe i'll get to it when i have time, but for now take it or leave it.
