I only got up the 5th book. I love #4 though.
The first and second Harry Potter games for the PC were bitchin', what are you talking about OP? Ok then again I'm not sure I was old enough to truly appreciate a good game vs. a bad game at the time, but they were a shitload of fun. Also, the books are fucking incredible.
My boyfriend promised to take me to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. He used to hate the series (jumped on the band-wagon), until we started dating. I like to think that I made the world a better place :3: Also, I've been reading the books religiously since I could read. In two languages, Afrikaans then English. I even lined up at the premier releases of the 5th, 6th, and 7th books. My mom had to come with me up until the 4th because I was too young.
Don't even get me started on the epilogue, that thing reads like a bad fanfic so much it isn't even funny.
This. I'm sorry Rowling, but it was horrific. I disagree with the rest of your post though. Sure, it was something that could be exploited, but a lot of what Rowling wrote was allegorical, and the exploitation of magic fit in with that. Also, I doubt she could have gone anywhere else since it was Voldemort's want of power that killed Harry's parents. It had to eventually go back to that.

Prisoner of Azkaban 4 lyfe. If only for badass Sirius. Oh, and the Chamber of Secrets game kicked ass. I went back a while ago and managed to collect all the cards finally, the gold room was worth it.
:downs:
Sorry :downs:
Your all going to hell obviously.
Fucking Bitch
I have no idea why, but I always pictured her as being incredibly attractive when I was reading the books, Haven't watched movies 5 or 6, I assume whoever plays her isn't all that attractive. [editline]19th January 2011[/editline] also her personality kinda turned me on.. :v:

Eh. That's one thing I love about all books, you can imagine people looking however you want. Ron's more... basement, dwellery, in my head.
I've read all the books, and I'd say that the most 'magical' in the series is by far the goblet of fire, but the best in general is the last one. The one main thing that still bugs me to date is the ending to the 7th, because [sp]even though Harry isn't dead, he's fully able and aware of Dumbledore, and ends up learning about how the Hallows work at that time, even though it's a dream.[/sp] Either way, it's one of those books that I never get tired of reading. I've read the last one quite a lot now, and each time I read it, I feel like I've gained more out of it.

They all suck
I had to choose The goblet of fire. as Cedrick dies and i never liked his character. Plus thats about when the series got boring for me. I own almost every book except the last one, which i had to borrow from the library and struggled to read through. And I played Chamber of secrets on the ds. Finished it in a few hours. Didn't find it that good a game.
Absolutely not. You do nothing there but memorize phrases and recipes for potions, without any real understanding of how it works and have almost no real world education or understanding of how the world around you works. They stop learning reading, writing, and basic arithmetic after like 10 and then just do magic. You are absolutely ignorant of everything other than the small cloistered world with a relatively tiny population.
I'd do magic my whole life for the cost of learning how to spell big words
The Chamber of Secrets video game wasn't horrible.
That game scared the shit out of me as a kid, when the Prefects were roaming the halls at night and you had to sneak by them....Oh god :ohdear:
That game scared the shit out of me as a kid, when the Prefects were roaming the halls at night and you had to sneak by them....Oh god :ohdear:
Holy shit I remember that, I think it was after you had gone to fred and gorges shop
That game scared the shit out of me as a kid, when the Prefects were roaming the halls at night and you had to sneak by them....Oh god :ohdear:
I always hated sneak/stealth parts in all games when I was little, so freaking scary!
I've got the top 2, bit of gimmicky in the quidach one I think or something, was interesting to read about the brooms having invisible cushions
Going to get it.

Never knew something would happen if I did.
I remember in the first game, with the chocolate cards and stuff and that puzzle in the courtyard with all the statues and the card hidden inside the bell tower that you could only get during broom practise and that firecracker fight with Malfoy and that Flippendo mission and FUCKING SPELL TRACING, DAMN THAT WAS AWESOME. Shit man, someone needs to remake the first one with modern graphics.
I want to get my PS1 up and running again so I can play through the first 2 harry potter games on it. I never finished the first one, and only finished the second one once.
Read None, Seen most Of Them, And Why Dobby Why? :(
Read None, Seen most Of Them, And Why Dobby Why? :(
More like [sp]why did fucking hedwig die and noone really gave a shit, yet they do a big 5 minute scene for a goddam elf thats only been stared in 1 of the movies properly.[/sp] :(
