Alright, so let's say that there's no research that shows that a ketogenic diet is effective at fat loss, it's still more effective for me, so I'll keep on doing it until I either reach my target weight, or it stops working. The same goes for most people I know who have tried it. If you've had trouble losing fat on it, then whatever, it's not for you, everyone's different. For me, what you're saying works better doesn't do jack shit for me, while what you're saying is a bunch of bullshit is working wonders. After adapting to the diet, I've had very few of the issues that everyone's been talking about.

No one doubted the ability of the keto diet. Every caloric manipulation you do to your body would have an effect rather you like it or not.
Your last response confirmed you were just trying to deny the fact someone thinks otherwise about a diet you're utilizing (at the moment) so this argument is pretty invalid, as you don't really listen to what Jager has to say, you just want to feel good about yourself.

I tend to assume too much of one nothing or the other way around, just with everything in life, causes mayhem in your body. "Low carb diets" offer actually carbs with fat and protein. Everything is pretty much balanced and if you know what you're doing, you'll feel great and get good results.
But leaving that aside, that diet wasn't built or utilized with athletes of high level for a reason. That shit was made ages ago as a primitive way to control seizures with children. This diet helps control an unhealthy body with an unhealthy approach. Obviously it would be awesome for them, but not for you, a healthy human. It wasn't made for body fat reductions.
I don't care if you are enjoying a ketogenic diet, I care that you are spouting utter shit like "carbs make you fat, you need to avoid carbs because insulin :((" <--- which is so wrong it isn't funny, as like I said before, if insulin was the defining factor, protein would make everyone super fat, because a lot of protein sources are either as insulinogenic, or more insulinogenic than most carb sources.
If a keto diet is good for you, fine. But this guy needs to try just moderately reducing his calories and getting more quality exercise first, if it really doesn't work for him, then he can try a ketogenic diet.
The major problem with keto diets is low compliance. Carb cravings, not being able to eat socially (without going to pains), etc. In my mind, if someone is going to go to that trouble, they are better off going all the way and doing something like PSMF for a short intense period, which has been demonstrated well, clinically and anecdotally, to strip off bodyfat very fast.
I've had no issues with cravings or eating socially, I just make an exception to my diet when I eat out like a normal human being. It's not that hard to cheat reasonably. And for the cravings, The only thing I've really been having cravings for are tortillas and bread, because of how convenient they are for quick meals.
But I guess you're right, the best diet is a diet you can stick to for life, and the OP should try a traditional, balanced, low-calorie diet before trying out a ketogenic diet.

Lol when I was bulking I was eating probobly 200-300g carbs a day, for 4 month, lol packed on 20lbs.
Of guess what? Muscle and some water. Didn't even bloat.

There is a video log on youtube of a guy who has just done his cut from 12% to 8% bodyfat, EATING ICECREAM <--- that's milk protein and lactose sugars, all HIGHLY insulinogenic. By retarded low-carb fanatic logic, he should've been piling on fat. Instead, he got lean. Very lean. You know why? He was in a caloric deficit, his body is going to catabolize tissue regardless of what you eat.
