Who's to say that the fast zombies couldn't walk (well, run) on the ocean floor and any of those? It could just be a slow zombie that runs. Most examples in the media just soften them up because they can't be all powerful.
Because they're not undead? If they were DOTD remake zombies they might, but again, running zombies make no sense. Like Pegg said, even though zombies make no sense period, them running makes even less sense. Big difference between 28 Days/L4D Infected and DOTD actual zombies. The former, which is the common fast zombie, is not as hard to kill as slow zombies are. The latter will of course be more of a threat, even if it's the most unrealistic of them all. [editline]12:36AM[/editline]
Because a car is so hard to come by.
Because maneuvering through blocked, jammed, or destroyed roads is really easy in the middle of a zombie outbreak or after it. Quote from the ZSG: "...imagine how it would perform across a field. Now add snow, mud, rocks, tree stumps, ditches, streambeds, and a variety of rusting, forgotten junk. Chances are that your sedan wouldn't get very far." Oh yeah, good luck finding gas when thousands of other people will be filling up their own cars or stealing it. By the time you might get to it most gas stations might be bone dry.
What if there were actual undead fast zombies? :aaaaa:
So, like I said, they would obviously be a big threat, since they're running AND you need to go for their brain. Good luck with that. But they're not going to happen, far more so than the chance of actual undead zombies happening.
I'm prepared.
Unrealistic, and unhelpful guide.
Unrealistic, and unhelpful guide.
Please elaborate. Did you write something better?
1. get guns 2. get food 3. kill zombies 4. survive. Simple, effective
1. get guns 2. get food 3. kill zombies 4. survive. Simple, Will get me killed
Fixed. :3
Fixed. :3
What's your plan?
My parents had a huge bomb shelter installed on our property, cause they're naive rich people whom think an asteroid is going to kill us all in 2012 (tbh a bomb shelter wouldn't do much). I guess I could stay there, there's enough water and food to last more than a century.
What's your plan?
I'll post it again.
All right, I assume we're talking about the much more dangerous slow zombies than the fast zombies (which resemble more retarded vampires than anything else). In that case, the first thing I will assume that this is a Class 3 outbreak, as outlined in the Zombie Survival Guide. If that's the case, well, I'll probably try to stay within my apartment. I know almost everyone in my apartment so we'd work well together. We also have very diversified residents, each with their own different talents and skills. What I'd do. -Since we already have a LOT of supplies stocked up (not for the zombie apocalypse, but in the event of any kind of natural disaster...I do live in New Orleans after all), they wouldn't be a problem. Neither are guns and ammo, since a few of my apartment buddies owns a LOT of guns and hundreds of rounds of ammunition for each. So what to do first? Demolish the staircase to the first floor. Once that's done, the entire apartment is now secured. Next step? Buckle down and wait for it to end.
Not-so-simple, greatly effective only if some military fuckhead doesn't think it's a wonderful idea to fire on our apartment :D
I'll post it again. Not-so-simple, greatly effective only if some military fuckhead doesn't think it's a wonderful idea to fire on our apartment :D
There would be infected people inside the aptment, and once there's one, many more would follow
There would be infected people inside the aptment, and once there's one, many more would follow
Like I said, we're all a closely-knit community. If anyone was infected in our apartment, they would know what to do. No one here would simply say "but what if it won't happen to me! Let's wait and find out!". Plus, there's a chance no one will be infected. But again, if they were, they wouldn't spread it. I know everyone enough to know that here.
What about medical supplies hmm? Seriously, just a first aid kit? What happens if say you break your leg in some stupid ass way, you're gonna need someone who has at least some medical knowledge on how to fix a broken leg.
What about medical supplies hmm?
Double check. One of our apartment dwellers is a surgeon from the nearby hospital.
I'd grab a shotgun, a hunting rifle, and all the ammo we have in the house (which is not much), then go and steal all the food I can carry from the local grocery store(s), preferably canned, but everything is okay for now....then I'd race to the nearest bomb shelter. there are a few, and I know one which is abandoned as far as I know and the doors are never locked, we used to explore it as kids. Double blast doors, followed by a room and a small hatch leading to the actual shelter, if any "zombies" are going to get in I'd have been pretty much fucked anyways. If I had extra time I'd go and rob the liquor store too on my way to the shelter, because if there is one moment in my life I would actually need a drink I guess that'd be the zombie apocalypse.
Double check. One of our apartment dwellers is a surgeon from the nearby hospital.
That's nice very nice
All right, first of all on all those people calling Zombies unrealistic well I have one thing to say : It's a work of fiction. Now while I go on about my survival plan sometimes it's only for fun, that's all this really is. A way for people to further discuss a fictional topic, like say when people make fanfiction. So don't get all pissy because people think something is cool even though it's chance to happen is significantly low. All though some 28 days later zombies would be cool. I'd be dead rather quick though :v:
I've started a folder for zombie guides. I will authorize all of them, or I will copy them from the internet (with credit to the author, of course) http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=b173dfd67916395ed6baebe61b361f7c36511c79e81d8380a543906a5faff527 If you have a guide you wrote, and you want it put in, just send me a message.
Just need food and then I can easily barricade the only way into the house and just start turning the back into a small garden and live off the land.
Id wire my house how with c4 and then attract zombies using my fat pregnant girlfriend and then when they swarm her BOOM zombie gore and unborn baby everywhere
I love how posts in this thread skyrocketed after 3:00 PM.
I love how posts in this thread skyrocketed after 3:00 PM.
12 year old hardcore zombie survivalist get home from their training, durr :downs:
My Plan. 1. My house is very strong because we have not just a wooden door, but there's a screen door in front of it so that should keep out zombies. 2. Then I'll get my M-32 rifle and my Deagle from my closet because those are awesome guns 3. Then I'll go out onto the streets and because I'm a super fast runner with great energy I'll just breeze right by 4. Then I'll gather many of my friends at school because I am very popular at school and everyone loves me so they'll trust me during this disaster. 5. Then well just go to my house and we'll stay there because we have like, a fridge full of food and good internet so we'll never have to lave ever.
Oh, let's see, slow zombies can walk on the fucking ocean floor,
No they can't. One, they'd probably float due to the decomposing flesh releasing gases. Two, even if they sunk, the pressure would squish their heads.
Zombies can't climb / swim - True. But, they can walk in not so deep water floor and if it's too deep and they float or something, when there are enought of them, the others will talk on the floating ones. :D And if they can't climb, they can stack. So, burning down stairs or something and then killing them while they come under there, will cause a body stack, slowly rising high enought for them to get you, unless you burn the body stack or have acid or something.
Please elaborate. Did you write something better?
Don't have to be a chef to know the cooking's shit. [editline]12:27PM[/editline] Maybe get a friend or two (definitely my girlfriend. I don't want to get stuck out there with nothing but my hand and a couple of dudes) and leave the city as fast as possible and try and live out in the country away from civilization for a while. I have pretty much everything planned out.
