Welcome to Language.
Seeing as how OP didn't provide one and I'm guessing 90% of the people this thread don't know how to type in Korean.
I can! 진짜!
But yeah, I find korean films good- one of the reasons that it's one of only 3 countries that watches mainly home-grown films (the others being obviously the USA and India.)
Also I find Korean films are mainly horror or rom-coms, though obviously they do all genres.
The funny thing is not just the smile, but the people behind them, like they have no reaction. I mean, I know it looks pixeled, but it's like they are standing around talking and shit.
Why would you be scared of some CG and greenscreen?
I watched the trailer and I have to say the movie ist kind of stupid.
The director couldn't decide what he would use, eh?
Why is there some boring slapstick humor before the catastrophe scenes.
Also there is a scene where there is an earthquake shaking the people at the beach, later comes a scene with the tsunami hitting the beach and people running away.
WHY the fuck are people chilling out at the beach after the damn earthquake?
Why would you be scared of some CG and greenscreen?
It's not what I meant.
They should have called it My Sassy Megatsunami.
I'd pay to go see a movie with that title.
Oh really TH89, what do people think of when they hear Korea? (Other than nukes and anger)
"Korean Drama". The only sucky korean drama film we ever made was the Dragon one and the Host( scratch that, they weren't even drama). Other than that, we're superb.
Koreans = Drama
Japan = Horror
Chinese = Martial Arts
America = horrid horror remakes, action, and sex
Koreans = Nothing, I've never even heard of a Korean film until this.
Americans = Massive budget cheesey action films, shitty 'comedies', sci-fi and pretty good drama serials
Spaniards = Creepy ass shit (but awesome)
Brits = Actually good comedies, shitty soaps
Japs = Battle Royale, animé and creepy ass shit involving rape
Russians = Night Watch
Swedes = Let The Right One In
Chinese = Martial Arts
basically

There are alot of good korean films/media, but they're just not so popular in the English speaking western world (but go to Malaysia and people love Korean soaps etc).
We're all kind of spoilt by the American industry in English speaking countries , so foreign films aren't so succesful.
(Yes i'm saying American films are good, and i'm not the most pro US person in the world.)
French people, from experience, seem to watch alot of films from pretty much anywhere- but that's probably mainly down to the Cannes film festival.
I like the way they are running like they are going to be able to escape the giant wave that is literally rocking the car right next to them.
From the perspective of someone who is not related to any of those countries in the slightest, I can safely say that you are full of shit.
This is what the view is from my perspective
Koreans = Awesome drama, WoTLK trailer ripoffs, fucking Seoul(One of the biggest stock markets in the world, if not the biggest after the towers failed)
Japan = weird porn(Legend of the Overfiend :v: ), somehow gets away with having penises in kids shows(They rarely do, and not with anyone over like, 5), Awesome anime(Monster, Ghost in the Shell, Black Lagoon, to name a few)
Chinese = Three Kingdoms(If you haven't read it, fucking do it)
America = General source of movies, cheap action and getting action And Uwe Boll.
:banjo:
This is what a Dane could remember at like 4:30 AM after just waking up.
Seems sort of awkward as how the first third of the trailer seems to be about some type of romantic comedy, before transitioning into a disaster film.
Yeah, fuck this. I get enough of these Korean romantic comedies at home just from my mom, thank you very much.
:banjo:

But Uwe Boll is from Germany.
But Uwe Boll is from Germany.
He still works in america though.
Looks like a good movie...but where could I get it?
Fuck that, I'd stay in my car.

^man who never watched it.
[sp] The "boring" slapstick humor is to develop the characters so you can actually sympathize with them, unlike today's movies where all the characters are skanky or drug doing teenagers.
And the people are initially were confused what the fuck was going on till the Hurricane alarm came on[/sp]
people always judge shit by the trailer.
