well dumbledore is kinda dead
 :raise:
well dumbledore is kinda dead
Michael Gambon != Ian McKellen
well dumbledore is kinda dead
Except Dumbledore appears in all 7 books, so your statement is doubly wrong.
they showed some photos months ago it looks pretty awesome

It seems weird seeing him grey again.
I think its cool
It seems weird seeing him grey again.
Not just grey. Grey and black . [editline]27th June 2011[/editline] I will say, it's really different seeing Gandalf with dark hair of any kind.
Seeing McKellan as Gandalf the Grey again was like putting on shoes I haven't worn since 2001. That suddenly got new again.
Ah, Peter Jackson. Good man and such a brilliant director. Bad Taste was an undeniable cinematic masterpiece.
It still boggles me to see how Jackson went from Braindead to Return of the King.
He went to Fellowship, then Towers, then King.
Yeah, I know that.

Not really that excited
I'm not excited because it's a year and a half away. I'm sure this time next year I'll be very excited.
Not really that excited
In general, I'm just not excited
So you came here to express your disinterest? Ok...
If you've been living in a Hobbit hole and haven't seen this yet: First behind the scenes footage with a very excited Peter Jackson, cast & crew. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_hobbit_an_unexpected_journey/trailers/ Already excited about this. You can tell by this movie that the continuity and quality will remain, also, a lot of pre-production behind-the-scenes goodies in the DVD SE
"The book was better."
Martin Freeman makes a great Bilbo
I haven't read The Hobbit and I won't till I watch the movie, I don't want to get spoiled. Might read it after the movie.
if its anything like LOTR you wont understand half the shit without reading the book
if its anything like LOTR you wont understand half the shit without reading the book
I never read LOTR and have watched the movies and understand all of it.
I never read LOTR and have watched the movies and understand all of it.
that's what you say now but when you read the books you actually understand more ;). well theres alot of m ore content like in cirth ungol when Sam thinks frodo is dead he picks up the ring and think about going to mount doom himself, but when he hears the orcs around the corner he takes the ring on to become invincible

I know most of that stuff from the BBC Radio Dramatization of the books I listened to when I was young - same goes for the Hobbit.
Also the entire dropped plot point at the end about how [sp]Saruman took over the shire[/sp] is entirely unknown to anyone who hasn't read the books.
Also, [sp]Tom Bombadil[/sp] in FOTR. But that part was pretty pointless and rightfully cut from the movie version.
Just so you guys know, the blu-ray version of the LotR trilogy (extended) just came out. It's awesome!
I should buy them (even though I have the DVD's). I remember buying the FOTR extended edition, and the discs were supposed to be: Disc 1 Disc 2 Disc 3 Disc 4 instead mine was: Disc 1 Disc 2 Disc 3 Disc 3 :smith:
I didn't like the extended versions much - especially Hobbition in the Fellowship - it was better in the normal version.
