OP is but hurt. I learn French too, but i'm not fluent, I do not want to learn a language that hardly anyone speaks. Even still the countries that have English (U.K., America, Canada(not the French part), Austrailia) as their main language can get on fine, its the other European countries that decide to make it more widely available to English. I'm English, but have learned very basic french in school and studied German for four years. I am, at the moment trying to learn Italian as I find it's a great language and would love to live there :) I think it's easier to learn if your not forced to learn it, but have a passion for it.
