The Wii's browser should atleast have a icon or just show the device like Android and iOS.
The Wii's browser should atleast have a icon or just show the device like Android and iOS.
I think it does? I remember seeing a ps3 and wii icon. [editline]12th May 2013[/editline] ah the browser, nvm what I said.
The Wii's browser should atleast have a icon or just show the device like Android and iOS.
The Wii icon in the OS slot is more than enough? What would Garry do otherwise, have it show the Wii icon in both OS and browser slots? Seems really redundant.
What happened to the "ask us about the forums" threads?
You create individual threads now I think. [editline]12th May 2013[/editline] Ninja'd
After megathreads were outlawed, garry decided that if anybody had a question they would just make a new thread Which I think is pretty dumb because AUATF was also a place for general discussion about the forums, and there don't need to be multiple threads for that
Megathreads are not outlawed though?
The Wii's browser should atleast have a icon or just show the device like Android and iOS.
Wii shows Wii icon and uses an Opera based browser. Wii U also shows Wii icon but uses a Mozilla based browser. If Wii U had its own icon it would clear up a bit of confusion.
I think if there is a quote that refers to a post that is on the same page, it should just scroll to the post instead of reloading the page and then scroll.
I wish there was a setting in the control panel which changes media/video tagged Youtube videos to URLs in a similar way that the 'do not load images' setting works. That'd be a godsend.
What if Facepunch or Gmod started doing stuff like this? http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/191262/Video_Fixing_toxic_online_behavior_in_League_of_Legends.php TLDR some stuff LoL implemented to make people more civil, maybe even a bit more cheerful. It's interesting if you're into behavioral psychology.
I'm still suffering PTSD from the tragic loss of the ticker I know you can do the url but it never loads for me.
I'm still suffering PTSD from the tragic loss of the ticker I know you can do the url but it never loads for me.
Weird, it loads for me: http://facepunch.com/fp_ticker.php
I feel as this could flow better: Perhaps something like this?
It could be that I'm just used to it, but I think I like my name standing out a little.
I feel as this could flow better: Perhaps something like this?
yeah that looks nicer if i squint, and i'm all for things that align perfectly. but the fact that i didn't even notice this probably means it's not much of a problem at all, it's not even detrimental to forum functionality.
It could be that I'm just used to it, but I think I like my name standing out a little.
This. Though I'm bothered by everything else not lining up, the name sticking out looks fine.
i included fixes to most of the stuff that was pointed out in this thread to my custom stylesheet. If anyone doesn't want to wait for garry to get around to fixing it, you can grab it from here. feel free to take whatever you want out of it, although be warned that I use a quite a lot of "hacks" due to the way FP's current CSS is set up. If anyone wants a specific fix out of here but can't find it in the mess of CSS themselves, let me know and i'll extract it for you. ratings look like this atm: [t]http://i.imgur.com/hxzJnke.png[/t] i also made the profiles look like this while I was at it [t]http://i.imgur.com/WAWOOtf.png[/t]
can you upload a script that does the same thing with the ratings, just without making the profiles look like that? Or without all the extra stuff - just the scrollbar
can you upload a script that does the same thing with the ratings, just without making the profiles look like that? Or without all the extra stuff - just the scrollbar
here it is on stylish: http://userstyles.org/styles/87634/facepunch-ratings-fixer?r=1368753267 it has the ~fancy styling~ with it. if you use chrome: remove the top line, and the bracket after /* end of document */, then set it to only apply on the domain facepunch.com here's an excerpt for just the scrollbar:
@-moz-document domain('facepunch.com'){ /* rating scrollbar fix? */ body .ratingslist .ratingsbox{ padding: 5px 0 0 0 !important; } body .ratingslist .ratingsbox span{ margin: 0 5px !important; } body .ratingslist .ratingsbox ul{ overflow-y: auto !important; } body .ratingslist .ratingsbox ul li{ height: auto !important; overflow: hidden !important; margin: 0 !important; padding: 0px 4px !important; } body .ratingslist .ratingsbox ul li a{ white-space: pre-line !important; margin-right: 15px !important; } /* end of document */ }
here it is again, with some extra styling:
@-moz-document domain('facepunch.com'){ /* rating scrollbar fix? */ body .ratingslist .ratingsbox{ padding: 5px 0 0 0 !important; } body .ratingslist .ratingsbox span{ margin: 0 5px !important; } body .ratingslist .ratingsbox ul{ overflow-y: auto !important; margin-bottom:3px !important; } body .ratingslist .ratingsbox ul li{ height: auto !important; overflow: hidden !important; margin: 0 !important; padding: 2px 4px !important; } body .ratingslist .ratingsbox ul li:nth-child(even){ background: rgb(243, 243, 210) !important; } body .ratingslist .ratingsbox ul li a{ white-space: pre-line !important; margin-right: 15px !important; } /* end of document */ }

Ratings box doesn't work, change "ratingslist .ratingsbox ul" to "body .ratingslist .ratingsbox ul" to give it higher priority
Apparently "stylish for chrome" appends the stylesheet in the middle of the <head> tag for some reason. And a lot of the CSS for facepunch is near the end of <head>, so it gets overridden due to garry using !important like crazy. I pushed your change out, and edited my post.
I'm still suffering PTSD from the tragic loss of the ticker I know you can do the url but it never loads for me.
Doesn't load for me either. Works in IE though for me at least.
Works in chrome for me.
Works fine in FF.
I've honestly never had the ticker stop working in any browser.
In regards to the invitation system. How long does it take for it to refresh after I have sent three invites out?
a week
Maybe Garry could add an 'invited' type to the event log? so it displays who invited who?
garry can you add the ratings collector thing that was on here ages ago the one Overv made a script for

Why is user list on the right side of the page?
