It's like they haven't actually played any of the Hitman games
Studios don't want to take the risk of being anything like the game so in the end fans and non-fans are equally disappointed Its 2015, why can nobody seem to make a video game movie that doesn't suck ass and is close to the game
That's the thing though, I see this movie as one hell of a risk considering we know better. At least the last one had the ave maria music and the action was sort of downplayed in the trailer. This one is balls to the wall cuh-razy Matrix-like action. Most of those numbers were coming from people who wanted to see Agent 47 on the big screen, they've already been burned and based on this trailer, I doubt anyone wanting a proper Hitman movie will go see it. They could have hired David Bateson, made something with a fraction of this (rumored 30 million dollar ) budget and put out a nice, grounded stealth assassination movie and guarantee a profit and good DVD/Blu-Ray sales. Hell, I'd argue that the marketing department would be put at ease since it'd go viral with people saying "HEY LOOK THEY GOT IT FUCKING RIGHT HOLY SHIT" Compare this trailer to this one
A Hitman miniseries with David Bateson actually playing as 47 and each episode being a separate contract with different targets/characters without an actual interconnected story arc (or just a minor connection that can justify on wrapping up a big scale finale for it) would probably be the best way to portray a live action Hitman.
if i owned the rights i'd get AMC to make it

Let's pretend this ain't Hitman movie hm? It's just a regular modern action movie.
Let's pretend this ain't Hitman movie hm? It's just a regular modern movie.
But why do that? Why license a franchise where it could be Mr. John Doe? Depending on the contract that IO Interactive signed off on, Fox probably has to pay royalties or a large lump sum. The only thing that's iconic about this character is the head tattoo and they're really downplaying that in this one it seems.
Looks a shitload better than the the other film.
That doesn't say much.. It still looks like a fucking joke. Why the fuck can't they get any video game adaptions right? I'd like a hitman movie with a similar tempo as, say, drive.
I don't understand the point of making Hitman movie in the first place.
Oh no... Did they learn nothing from the last one?
Hitman (2007 film) Budget $24,000,000 Box office $99,965,792 Yes, they did. That's why it's the exact same thing again. They're never going to make a true movie that does justice to the games.
I don't think I'll ever watch or have hopes for a Hitman movie unless 47 is played by Bateson. He supplies the character's entire voice and appearance in the first place for Christ's sake. It really is one of those things where nobody else could be 47 but him. Doesn't matter how similar the person you cast may be, it'll always be like casting Ray Romano as Liam Neeson.
I don't understand the point of making Hitman movie in the first place.
This is what I find the most strange, is Hitman really that big of a franchise right now that its getting a second movie The Hitman games are good but there are so many more games that I feel like should be getting movies but aren't Why not like Bioshock or Halo or Half Life, Hitman seems like a weird choice
A Hitman miniseries with David Bateson actually playing as 47 and each episode being a separate contract with different targets/characters without an actual interconnected story arc (or just a minor connection that can justify on wrapping up a big scale finale for it) would probably be the best way to portray a live action Hitman.
It'd be cool if it took the viewer an entire season to figure out what the connection is.
Anybody know that song in the trailer?
Anybody know that song in the trailer?
Some ridiculous rendition of Voodoo child.
so agent 47 is now the terminator?
2 fast 2 bald 2: Bourne Drift
Cliche interrogation room scene to explain the character (even Man of Steel had it). Focusing on the people hunting 47 instead of focusing on 47. Gross. At least it looks fun enough to watch as just another movie.
Oh god lmao they shot it in my country. Why singapore of all places
I perhaps have a terrible taste but i loved the first Hitman movie, gonna watch this as well simply because its Hitman and it looks like a good popcorn movie.
I think we give too many bad movies a free pass because they look like "good popcorn movies"
Standard Action Movie #47 Not a Hitman movie. Please make this stop.
I liked the part where 47 incapacitated some guards in a secluded location and took their uniforms as a disguise, that was cool. Too bad the other 95% of the trailer was garbage. I also like how it's called a Zachary Quinto film despite him not even being the lead :v:
This had potential but damn the actor doesn't seem to fit the roll good enough. Also, this movie is taking itself way too serious.

gonna bring a loaded bolt action rifle into a room with killer pro genius idea/10
its like they watched someone fucking up in a hitman game and rampaging and thought that was how you're supposed to play
Looks pretty bad
47 agrees... Should I.... No. I'll leave it [editline]11th February 2015[/editline] Nevermind someone already decided to be a bag of dicks and RUIN IT
I really wanted to see a proper stealth assassin movie. Oh well. Looks like we'll get another B action flick.
That looks insulting. Like, "standard action movie" and "rubbish" and "pretty bad" don't begin to describe it. I would've tought there would be more of an outrage if there ever was another Uwe Boll-tier (with big budget) adaptation of a beloved game.
I dont know how i feel about this. I long ago learned to stop expecting movies based on games to be good or even follow the game. The last Hitman movie i gotta admit i did enjoy but it was still just a not very well made movie. This one it looks really generic, everything looks sort of cheesy....but i'm interested. I wanna see where it goes, and i'll definitely check it out since i get into movies for free anyway so it's not like i'd lose anything.
