I liked the part where 47 incapacitated some guards in a secluded location and took their uniforms as a disguise, that was cool.
i'm not even going to mention that a bolt action rifle went off in what looked like a holding area
and no one cares, he just casually strolls out after a gun went off
uhh
Being fair it's incredibly clear that they edited out what was probably a chase or an action scene right after that point. Also, I won't dismiss this until more's put out of it. I get that action is what sells a trailer for the most part so I don't blame em for hamming it up in the announcement trailer.
looks fucking awful
Why can they never get the look of 47? This guy looks like a skinny shrimp. Imo someone like Vin Diesel should look like 47.
Why do the bad guys look like they are wearing paintball gear?
Because they are lmao

I won't judge it by the trailer. Dredd's trailer was shit, but the film was amazing. Terminator: Salvation's trailer was amazing, but the film was shit. Same with Cloud Atlas. Amazing trailer, shaite movie. John Wick's trailer, except for a few parts, was shit. The movie itself is a reboot of Keanu's career.
DON'T JUDGE BY THE TRAILER, GUYS!
I think it needs to be slow and violent. Maybe more like a heist movie. Anything other than this pure action shit.
This is what I find the most strange, is Hitman really that big of a franchise right now that its getting a second movie
The Hitman games are good but there are so many more games that I feel like should be getting movies but aren't
Why not like Bioshock or Halo or Half Life, Hitman seems like a weird choice
Because Hitman requires the least amount of effort and money to make.
I really hope that cgi isn't the final product, I know it most likely isn't but it looks so bad in some places,
like the car scene and when Quinto tackles 47 onto the train.
Goddamn it, why can't they just cast David Bateson, make it a low budget "contract killer" movie and call it a day? Agent 47 may be able to take a couple shots but he isn't bending under bullets flying towards him.
[t]http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130131220731/randomgearsstuff/images/a/ac/Bateson_and_47.png[/t]
Timothy Olyphant was a pretty good 47, the movie just sucked.

What are you talking about? Terminator Salvation/Dredd looked good from the trailer

This just looks completely uninteresting.
I don't hate the first film at all. It's just a crying shame that the studio stuck it's fucking oar in and as a result that fucking train car fight happened and all the other senseless bollocks that the director never wanted to include (genunely feel that the film would have been halfway decent if they'd just let the director do his thing).
While this is only a trailer, it's not done any favors.

Removing those scenes would have improved the film but I want to know if the studio forced in the love plot (which was beyond nonsensical for the character).

Been a while since i read the article but IIRC the director did not want the love plot, some emotion / compassion for her but that's as far as it went.

Jesus, this sounds like a prime example of studios thinking they can get away with telling a director what to do because "no one cares about this one anyways". What a shame.
it'll always be like casting Ray Romano as Liam Neeson.
is it bad that I want this

It's been something like 6 years since i read the article so i may be wrong, but regardless you can definitely see that the director cared enough for the source material to not add shit like that, especially when you notice the little things, the 47 walk was spot on for example, even if it is how Olyphant actually walks.
Why not pick up an actual action game and make an action movie out of that? It's like making Splinter Cell an action ga- oh shit...

I swear to god, the thumbnail to this looks like the thumbnail for a fanmade trailer. Something about it feels off.
who enjoys this
why
why would you enjoy this
it looks like a fucking abortion

and I'm an authority <--
this looks even worse than the first one
this is being written by SKIP WOODS, the same "guy" that wrote the 2007 hitman movie, wolverine origins, die hard 5, etc.
there are rumors going around (and almost seemingly real) that 'skip woods' is actually an alias that writers use to make a quick buck without actually putting their name on the project because they know it'll be bad.
there's very little info on who 'skip woods' actually is, and there are virtually no pictures available.

Maybe the next reboot will be directed by Alan Smithee.
But hey, at least this time it's actual clone stuff instead of that weird taking in kids shit from the last one.
A Hitman movie is supposed to be dark, atmospheric, and cerebral, not pure action. The color balance of the movie is also completely off (for Hitman), way too vibrant and sunny.
It's supposed to feel thick and heavy.
I am obviously not saying that a Hitman movie should not have action in it, just not in the pure action style.
Here is an idea: Make a movie focussing on the target, its environment and surroundings, telling their own story and make 47 actually appear very rarely and just show subtle hints to his presence and only reveal him until the very end in which his way to the target becomes more clear. It would be a thousand times more worthy than this shit. In order to get around the actors looking too odd for 47, never actually show the actor's face and hire the original voice actor to do the dialogue. This way 47 stays in the background and unnoticed, the way he fuckin acts on his job.
ps: Fuck "epic stories", just make something simple, interesting and consistent.

Or make a movie that actually makes you care about 47 as a character. Show his dimensions, his weaknesses, his strengths, his thoughts, his feelings. All of this would obviously be done in a mature way, not some kind of a cheesy lovey dovey reveal. HITMAN-CHAN, I ALWAYS KNEW YOU WERE A TEDDY BEAR.

Likewise, the action should be slower paced so to speak, at least a majority of it. It should be more of a suspenseful action-thriller rather than a full blown action movie. A Hitman movie may benefit by being more like The Boondock Saints or The Usual Suspects. A movie where, for at least some of the movie, we don't directly focus on Agent 47 but rather the people than clean up the mess; a detective or FBI agent. As a conspiracy unwinds and the seemingly unconnected mysterious deaths are connected by this conspiracy we begin to focus more on Agent 47 himself.
Then, at the end pull a 'Usual Suspects' move where a character that was present along with the the detective or agent or whomever turns out to be Agent 47 or the said detective/agent is a target because of some connection to the overlying conspiracy. That's briefly how I'd see a Hitman working at least a little better. As it stands now this just seems like your typical action movie that might be fun to watch if you're not looking for anything more than something to watch.

I think that Hitman is one of those characters that has legitimate movie potential. He is utterly fascinating both physically and mentally. And the atmosphere that the games can give you is amazing:

Why would you care too much for the character of an assassin? He kills people for money, there is not really more to that, if you just leave Absolution out. Focus on his work instead and put it into an interesting scene. Show the traces he leaves behind, demonstrate how cunning and sneaky he is, by showing it from the victim's or bystander's perspective. The great thing about good Hitman games is, that you are completely uninvolved in the world's business, you just came to kill a guy. No emotional attachment or prejudice, just a contract.
