This is why I like this forum. There are people here willing to help you improve.
Mind if I end this challenge an hour/two early? Cause I've got to be in school at 12am and it's an hour long drive. >:C
Go for it. I'm done with mine, unfortunately. And midnight? I would hate school at midnight.

At noon. Don't be a smart-ass you know what I meant.
At noon. Don't be a smart-ass you know what I meant.
Haha actually noon is a crazy time too, but that's a much more preferable time than midnight.
My classes either start at 7 am or at 5pm or at noon. Seriously they must have been on crack while making that shit up.
Damn, that's erratic as shit. Ours is 8:05, 9:05, or 9:00, all in the morning.
When I was in primary and high school I had classes in the morning too. But I guess in college they expect you to party and get hung over and need to sleep in the morning. Or something.
Anyway I'm going to post the next challenge now.

Challenge #2!
This week we'll be taking a break from drawing hands and trees and moving on to bigger things!
Part 1:
Drawing the human body in different positions. You have to draw one or more of these poses. Take the one you're least comfortable with and pick the gender you usually don't draw. You have to draw them naked, but you don't need to draw genitalia. Feel free to draw them without skin, to practice muscle, but that is your choice.

Part 2:
Draw one or more of these faces. You DO NOT need to shade them. You can draw them with skin or with muscles. The point of this part is drawing faces in poses you're not used to. We all usually draw faces looking straight at the camera (or 360° looking around) but usually not tilted up or down.

Part 3:
Draw this cat. For many people the biggest challenge is drawing an animal. And cats are especially difficult because even if you manage to draw them in the right shape, there's still something missing from the picture and the cat doesn't look cute anymore.

You need to complete at least one part of the challenge, but you can post the rest of the parts at any time.
Only constructive criticism is allowed.
I would also like to add that the criticism you all gave for the first challenge was amazing. Even tho I didn't contribute I learned a lot from what you wrote. All those tips really make drawing easier. Let's keep this up! <3
Just a note, breasts != genitalia. So they must be drawn.

My first try at one of these.
The whiskers look a bit like wrinkles. Otherwise it looks very good.
Those were actually the markings, looks like I forgot to add in whiskers when I remade the head. Fixed, thank you.
Wow, that is very good.
Although the fence is missing :v:
... I didn't even see a fence :v:
So I drew the head instead of doing my homework :downs:

Every time you post your pictures I just stare in to the screen and my jaw drops to the ground.
You are such an amazing talented artist!
Two quick sletches from the models in part 1:

Hahaha spray tool used to full effect. I was on flockdraw with Jenny this week. I learn't shit watching her draw realtime. We can learn things from her. Don't be put off by awesomeness, embrace it and use it to inspire greater work.
Alternatively lets burn her at the stake for using witchcraft!
Edit: How long did they take btw?
Jenny do you know how to use a program that films your screen?
I think it would be awesome if you drew one of the challenges pictures while filming it and then post a speedpaint video here! :D
That way we can all watch it over and over again and learn :D
Maybe then there won't be that many user challenges, if you know what I mean...

Around 3 hours... :buddy:

Sure, I've done it before- I'll film the next one

Wow, you're very quick at drawing! :O
Suck ups.
Her pictures are p. neat though.
Wow some of these are amazing.
hello! For the next challenge I would first like to know what you have the most trouble drawing.
To vote rate according to the instructions bellow and comment on aditional thoughts.
Agree- the opposite gender
Disagree- proportional bodies
Zing- the human face in diffrent angles
Dumb- humans in diffrent action poses (this means you keep drawing them in the same damn pose)
Funny- new characters
Do legs count as "proportional bodies"
Cause I absolutely despise (drawing) legs.
Do legs count as "proportional bodies"

yes, if the legs you draw don't look right, than it counts.
I think a challenge to draw new characters would be interesting to watch but it's not what I have trouble with, which sort of removes the point of a paint challenge
Not that I've ever participated
Yeah, it'd kind of be like CHOW on Conceptart- I love CHOW but I never finish anything for it to the standard I'd like.
[editline] December 13th 2010[/editline]
At some point in time a clothing challenge would be good: I hardly ever draw clothes on a person (as perverse as that sounds) and I'm usually too lazy to get the textures actually looking like they should.
Do you have a new challange ready Nyaa?
Do you have a new challange ready Nyaa?
In 5 mins. BRB
This one will be proportional bodies right?
Challenge #3 Finished on 10th January
You have the following poses to choose from:

This is what you need to do:
1. Pick a pose.
2. Draw a skeleton with the color medium light blue, the joints are circles, connect them with lines. Draw the hip and ribcage as a balloon of the appropriate shape.
3. Draw the outline over this skeleton with a medium light green.
4. Delete the skeleton (pick the color light blue in to your back color, select the image, select transparent selection and move it to a place next to it)
5. When you finish every step of the above, each time save the image and post all of them.
BONUS.: Also shade the image.
Warning: Although there are many people in the forum who don't use MS Paint, you need to use it for this challenge! Because not having layers is also a challenge this time!
P.S.: This challenge lasts longer because I know you guys are partying hard for the holidays, yo.
This one will be proportional bodies right?
I tried mixing proportional bodies and action poses, since those two got the 1st and 2nd place. Several poses to choose from so everyone can do what they want the most :D
