I remember that I took a picture similar to that when I was fucking high once.
I found a baseball hanging from tree by a wire that was attached to a nail that was in the ball. Ill try to find a picture of it.
Got the chance to scavange a few of my dads old things, before he threw the rest out.
It may not be that old, but there is still a few gems around!

I really love the Microphone. It was the first thing which I got my eyes on. I took it and clearned it up and set it up to an Amplifier, and it still worked!
Man this thread makes me wish I got off my ass and went exploring somewhere, but I don't think I live near anything interesting.

Found it in an abandoned army fort, there are over 2 million gasmasks on that site.
Also found some old books from the 1880's in an abandoned psychiatric hospital.
damn, what country, just curious, those could be worth some money, nice find!
damn, what country, just curious, those could be worth some money, nice find!
Jack shit, I have 2 of em, they basically handed them out during WW1 here in Belgium.
Also, kirederf7, where exactly did you find them?
Dude, go the fuck back there and grab as many as you can, people will pay good money for those!
Hell, I would!
They aren't worth much here in Belgium and they are not from WW1 but from WW2. If you guys want I can get some and send it to you. Just need to pay the shipping costs and donate something for my efforts..
I went into a old house in the forest once and we found some old furcoats and newspapers from 1988.
We also found piles of letters on the second floor mailed to and from havana, Cuba.
I didn't read any of those letters, but now I sort of wish I would have.
An entire refrigerator. It had a nice chrome finish to it, too. It was really hard to get out of there.

Got about 20 of those in my house lol
Holy shit I want to go with you
I only have one hasmask
And those look badass as fuckckckc
The next time I'll take my camera with me. Sometimes you are literally walking on those masks...

I wish I lived near some cool abandoned buildings.
I have old GDR documents filled with protocols of people talking to each other and how it is against the socialistic norm and all that propaganda crap, basically someone reporting all of his colleages to the StaSi

Where do you live? because this was in a room where all of the stoners go to :v:

YES PLEASE.
Btw if any of you guys live near Belgium, France, or Russia you can find some pretty badass world war military items. :v: In fact, I got one of them right here.
Now I know it's not really found from urbexing, but this WW1 bayonet was found in the middle of the road, true story, it must have fallen from some guy's truck. It's a bayonet for Mk.1 Enfield Rifle, Made in Australia in 1907. Too bad I don't have a scabbard for it.

Send me your address and we'll see how much it would cost to send it to you.
Send a PM.

oh heel graag :v: I'm interested in old military stuff. Also how come they're just stacked like that? It's weird.

In most cases in WW2 a lot of military bases were simply abandoned shortly after the war. People literally got up and left everything as they were. So many items such as those gas masks were left untouched. Also, there was a large amount of military items anyway, so like it was said before, it was/still is not worth anything.
When I was a little kid I found this slightly fucked up axe inside a glass case in this building set to be demolished in a day
So I just went around wacking walls like a furious axeman and doing full spins trying to pretend I was a Warrior from WoW
At some point I think I broke down a wall for real to see what was inside, and an old 1p Argentinian coin slipped out along with this big collection of rat skulls, all of which were embedded into the wall/some of which had slipped out of the pieces I broke
It was spooky as hell so I bailed instantly after finding the coin, and I sometimes get nightmares about it because skulls creep me out :(
I don't really know if this counts as Urbex, but there during some time at a beach in North Carolina, I went scuba-diving and found a sunk submarine (german uboat.) and I managed to get inside by a hole from a torpedo. A box that looked water-proof caught my eye, first glance I thought "Must be for rations or something." and I picked it up, and carried it. VERY anxious to see what was inside. When I later got back to my hotel room. I pried it open, indeed the box was water-proof. Inside was a U-Boat sailor uniform, also a 40s ration. (I opened the can and the food was surprisingly intact. It contained a bratwurst.). Meanwhile, I keep the box and the uniform (The box used to have a nice eagle on it, but humidity and water has worn it down. However the uniform was in pretty good condition, I'm pretty surprised at the find myself.) inside my home. Not to this day do I think about selling it or anything else.
This is how the uniform looks BTW, if anyone is intrigued.

((no, this isn't a picture i took btw.))
I also have some haunting experiences from I assume the sailor who wore the uniform. I can tell you guys about them if you wish.
Oh yes, do tell.
That's amazing to find a completely intact German uniform. You should be proud.
