I don't really know if this counts as Urbex, but there during some time at a beach in North Carolina, I went scuba-diving and found a sunk submarine (german uboat.) and I managed to get inside by a hole from a torpedo. A box that looked water-proof caught my eye, first glance I thought "Must be for rations or something." and I picked it up, and carried it. VERY anxious to see what was inside. When I later got back to my hotel room. I pried it open, indeed the box was water-proof. Inside was a U-Boat sailor uniform, also a 40s ration. (I opened the can and the food was surprisingly intact. It contained a bratwurst.). Meanwhile, I keep the box and the uniform (The box used to have a nice eagle on it, but humidity and water has worn it down. However the uniform was in pretty good condition, I'm pretty surprised at the find myself.) inside my home. Not to this day do I think about selling it or anything else. This is how the uniform looks BTW, if anyone is intrigued. ((no, this isn't a picture i took btw.)) I also have some haunting experiences from I assume the sailor who wore the uniform. I can tell you guys about them if you wish.
Nice Find! It's actually very rare to find intact military uniforms from WW2. You should head back to the U-boat and see what else you can find. I didn't take it but I found an old TV [t]http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7054/6865821260_b2b0956a69_b.jpg[/t] Nearby was a dead sheep (just the ribcage), and a jar of honey from Tesco... I don't really urbex much
Ok so I actually found a 1946 film reel (complete with film!) in Japan when I was doing tsunami clean up last year. I did however find it in a house where the entire family had died and they left everything to the organization I was working with. So they basically just said I could keep it. The two biggest things that I find interesting about it is that It was made by Kodak and it's from 1946. I DON'T KNOW what is on the film itself. It's pretty long and I don't want to ruin any of it. If anyone would be interested in helping me figure out what it is or how I could play it PLEASE PM ME! :)

[editline]13th October 2012[/editline] Grab a mag light and go kick some crackhead ass
I doubt there would be much more to that submarine, it's most likely gutted by now. [editline]14th October 2012[/editline]
Oh yes, do tell. That's amazing to find a completely intact German uniform. You should be proud.
On to my haunting experiences, well. Let's begin, I'd have these vivid dreams like for example (this one was pretty frighting, it'd appear over and over.), this one was something like me being born in the dream and a old german song playing in the background, most likely from a record player. Then there about something like some sort of enlistment ceremony, I recognized the German naval ensign, and then I was on a submarine before I could blink my eyes, It was departing from Submarine base, I remembered seeing people waving and music playing. A man wearing the uniform I found (same rank, same insignia, same everything.) came up to me and said "Hallo, Seemann". Then I woke up and the next night, the next dream I had after that, the same guy from the earlier dream appears, we have a brief conversation in german in my dream. He vanishes for a few seconds, then I hear shouting in German from all corners in the submarine and then I hear a loud crash, I get up and see the guy from earlier on the ground, he stares at me and says in rough german, "The box, my mother.... she must know, My children..." then I woke up sweating. Meanwhile, besides dreams. Occasionally, I hear a old german record playing and sometimes shadows and sometimes I hear the shouting from my dreams when no one else does, and the loud crash from the torpedo (I assume.) too.
Can you show me the uniform? Would love to see it! I collect German stuff from ww2 myself so it would be awesome to see it!

I'm surprised your handling this pretty well. Those ongoing dreams would probably drive me crazy. But I kinda feel sorry for the German ensign who wore that uniform. :(
Where the fuck did you explore? Did the honey taste good on toast?
[t]http://i.imgur.com/fmjaa.jpg[/t] :v: Here's the honey. It was an abandoned house out in the countryside. It's a good place to explore, lots of ruins and old houses, but jesus christ there's so many dead animals... [t]http://i.imgur.com/zakJb.jpg[/t] The ribcage.
Nasty shit right there.

That's movie shit right there, call up Hollywood after your done with the adventure.

I've found a book called "The confessions of a Milkman" Anyone want to read it? :v:
YES PLEASE.
Sadly I'm guessing shipping out here would be intense.
I imagine most of you have heard of Kings Park Psychiatric Center, the one in New York. Well I heard there were some of those old computers (a good picture would be if you ever played Fallout 3 or New Vegas, those kind) in the powerplant. Shame the place is destroyed now. I always wanted an old-style monitor.
I went into a old house in the forest once and we found some old furcoats and newspapers from 1988. We also found piles of letters on the second floor mailed to and from havana, Cuba. I didn't read any of those letters, but now I sort of wish I would have.
Wait 1988 the cold war was still going on. Maybe it was Castro's secret invasion plans @_@ and he didn't go through with them because he never got contact back from his arms dealer. :words:
They aren't worth much here in Belgium and they are not from WW1 but from WW2. If you guys want I can get some and send it to you. Just need to pay the shipping costs and donate something for my efforts..
What if i send you candy and you send me gasmask?
*bullshit nazi story*
Pics or it didn't happen!

Darn.. must have been pretty creepy inside a u-boat all dark and everything and tight inside. Is this the wreck btw? http://www.nc-wreckdiving.com/WRECKS/U352/U352.HTML
Wait, U-boats got as close as the Eastern Seaboard? I'm surprised it wasn't found out sooner. If this is legit, that is.

I don't have any pictures and it's hardly an interesting urbex considering the amount of traffic that has gone through the place, but there's an old pump station on a river near a property my parents just bought. I found and cleaned up the electromagnetic coil assembly from what I presume was a fire alarm. Kind of cool I guess. At first I thought it was something a bit more exotic, but nah. :v:
dumb poll options, i don't touch anything because the explorers who come after me will probably want to see the same exact shit i came to see. why i would want to ruin it for everybody by stealing stuff is beyond me
