Shit, if I had known you guys would resurrect the first thread, I wouldn't have bothered to make a second one. :/
dumb poll options, i don't touch anything because the explorers who come after me will probably want to see the same exact shit i came to see. why i would want to ruin it for everybody by stealing stuff is beyond me
Sometimes you can't help but snag a souvenir from your exploits. Having a physical item to show off is a million times better than a digital photograph on your computer.
I need to put some more pictures on my photobucket of things I've found. Here, have a barrel.
I'm very glad this thread is back up, because i need to say something. I was on a trip with a friend to an old house. And it was actually a really fun trip that i enjoyed. But anyway, we went into the basement and found a very old TV. Next to it was a box. In that box was an old atari 2600, the Sears model. And the rest in the box, was all mystique games, the company that made the infamous "atari porn" games. I laughed my ass off. My friend took it to his own house. I'm going to see if he still has it so i can take a photo. But anyway, its hilarious. And the games work too, i was at his house last year when we found it to play them all. They were a little dusty, one of them had a sticky note that said "play this one fred this ones great" and the game was custer's revenge. Cecil Field. Across the road from the main airport part is the old Yellow Water Weapons depot, the old Yellow Water Gunnery School, and I'm sure a few other things. Gunnery School closed in the 40's after the war. Weapons Depot stored conventional and nuclear weapons during the Cold War till it's closure in the late 90's. Plenty of bunkers out there, granted the Jacksonville Sheriff's office owns that now. I got tons of pics, I'll just randomly post em from time to time.
I've found a book called "The confessions of a Milkman" Anyone want to read it? :v:
Late christmas present from yours truly
I didn't keep any of it, but one of several joined buildings was full of old compute stuff. I'm no expert, but it looked like servers, or some kind of data storage thing. There were loads of tapes though, and not standard sized ones, some were quite small, but thick, others were really big. Kinda wished I'd nabbed one so I could post pics
Here, have a gas mask.

I probably would have kept that even in it's condition.
I need to go out there and look around some more, I had found one some time ago that was in better condition. Gave it to my friend though. Only issue is, these are by an old building foundation, there is literally no telling how long these have been out in the open.
Well the US army stopped using them in the early 1960's, so I guess around 50 years.
Maybe, figured I'd throw this in there, near were the masks were found. Wish I could find the pictures from when I first found the place. Much clearer then now.
