I don't think it's harmful if you write somewhere unnoticeable your nickname and the date of you visit. Spraypainting or fucking places up is just stupid though.
I don't see how it's stupid, it's an old abandon building and if anything I think it's great, for talented spray-painters it's a good canvas to make some beautiful art and in general I think it gives the decayed building an underground kind of urban feeling.
Wish I was COOL enough to go urban exploring

It ruins the building, I hate people who do things like this to do the building.
The none existant one? We don't have executions in the UK, or I am under a MASSIVE rock.
It was a joke. Ha ha.

The buildings are already ruined and no longer used and slowly decay
I'd like to try urban exploring, but there aren't any abandoned buildings in the area that I'm aware of. They are either demolished before I find out about them, or they are just too dangerous to go in. Besides, I would be forced to go alone because some of my friends would pussy out and the rest would fuck the place up and/or bring weed with them.
/n/ [editline]01:39PM[/editline]
Not all Spray-paint art is shit and not all of it is good either.
But almost all of it is shit.
Anyone know the real laws of trespassing in the UK? What are the police meant to do if someone is caught trespassing on private land, but not causing damage or carrying anything illegal?
There's an abandoned petrol station near my house that would be great for a quick look-around. If it wasn't next to a busy cross-roads.
Sometimes I wish this was fallout 3 you could freely go treasure hunting anywhere.
Yeah, wouldn't a nuclear disaster be swell? Kickass thread OP, good tips and stuff. I've seen some old abandoned shacks here in the new forest, I bet they are worth a gander.
Holy shit there's a 3 story high enormous gas plant HQ somewhere here, I believe it was abandoned 18 days ago. I'm going to wait a few more weeks and then start exploring it.
/n/
What
Nothing here in the Netherlands :geno:
Anyone know the real laws of trespassing in the UK? If you're in the UK then 'Trespassing' is NOT a criminal offence. Trespassing is only criminal in this country when on MOD property. Trespassing is a civil offence. Hense why its difficult to get rid of travellers on your land. [editline]02:03PM[/editline] wow fucking yahoo questions can't spell for a shit
Screw Urban exploring, Explore in the woods instead. It is a lot more fun!
Screw Urban exploring, Explore in the woods instead. It is a lot more fun!
No it isn't, they are vast and repetetive. I live next to the new forest and you could walk a strange mile in from the edge only seeing trees and the occasional stream.
No it isn't, they are vast and repetetive. I live next to the new forest and you could walk a strange mile in from the edge only seeing trees and the occasional stream.
But you might find a quarry and a crazy man collecting crap there :smugdog:
Well, I have a lot of fun: Trapping and climbing trees. You can also find all kinds of shit lying around... Just take a freind, bring a first aid kit (I have needed one quite often :s)... [editline]03:24PM[/editline] Also if you want to trap some objects will get you in trouble with the police. E.g. Knife and steel spokes. I also sometimes bring a bow. Thats right guys I am the real hunter. :D
Time to explore. :buddy:
Make sure it complies to your countries knife laws.
The law in America for a knife is if it's smaller then the palm of your hand it's legal.
Are there any things anyone wants me to add to the guide?
Are there any things anyone wants me to add to the guide?
You could add a link to Infiltration
I think I'll add links to any major US and UK UE sites, and any other guides I can find later on.
I met up with Rookie in Melbourne last year and did a bit. It was great. He's very knowledgeable in the area.

Is your name Josh by any chance?
Can't really find some abandoned buildings in The Netherlands.
Very good thread. A+
You forgot to include a helmet. Only idiots do Urbex without one. Hell at the minimum wear a steel cap.
Theres a creepy kid in my school who climbs trees with his bow and arrows. Is your name Josh by any chance?
No, I just like the great outdoors. Also I live in Britain and my name is James
You forgot to include a helmet. Only idiots do Urbex without one. Hell at the minimum wear a steel cap.
I've never actually worn one while doing Urbex, I haven't even seen any more experienced explorers wear one.
There is an abandoned old silo in my town, problem is, its in the middle of the town and will be turned into an appartment house soon.
