Update: Realized I can just pay monthly instead of yearly for hosting, probably best that way.
Currently been like 38 hour since I payed for it, still haven't got my hosting package activated.

Looking to get into gas blowback rifles, after owning an electric m4 and a basic co2 pistol for years, starting to be able to afford the time and money for higher level stuff.
Any manufacturer I should be looking at? Looking for metal, GBBR, m4/m16 series kind of look.

I've heard KWA and WE make good gas rifles. I don't own any, so I wouldn't really take my advice.

Found an Echo1 mp5 with some accessories and like 10 mid-cap mags sitting in a bargain bin in a local Pawn shop, guy wanted $30 for it and all the mags. Hell of a deal, Gonna grab it tomorrow.

I wouldn't mind getting into airsoft again, but I feel like the options down where I am are limited. Like I can go to camp pendleton. But that place is kinda lame. And most other choices are more than an hour away.
I'd rather find a group of people to play with. But I don't even know where to look.
Reposting Iceman because Iceman

Not sure who'll see this or who even cares but I see people saying I've come back to fpair.net and haven't left. No I Haven't come back, and yeah I do still lurk. When I said I was leaving I meant I wouldn't post anymore or at least not for a year or a few (Besides last night where I was tired and trying to piss off taep.)

I wonder why this design never caught on, the gearbox in this gun keeps the piston "armed" or under tension between shots like a spring airsoft gun rather than uncharged so that when you pull the trigger the gearbox doesn't have to charge the piston back to fire.

Sounds almost like a gas gun. Also you can pull the bolt back and use it like a springer. :v:
I want to buy my first airsoft pistol. I'm looking for something simple and inexpensive. My friend has one that I love, it's shaped like a Glock and he said it cost $10.
Got any recommendations?

Maybe it induces more stress on the gearbox over time?
Hello, me again.
I've been doing a lot more research and decided that what I'm looking for is a air spring gun, not blowback or C02.
I'm very inclined to purchase this one: http://www.evike.com/products/42999/
It has a working safety located on the side, the feet per second is impressive at 240~320. Even adjustable "hopup" function.
The barrel on the slide seems to be metal.
The thing I'd like to ask is: does this look like it would be reliable and well-built gun?
[editline]20th April 2015[/editline]
This second pistol has something called "extended life trigger system". http://www.evike.com/products/33409/
I never saw this on any of the other products, so I assume it's a bit of a gimmick?
Got an old-school '90s loadout set up. BDUs, an ELBV, a large, framed ALICE pack and a G&G M4.
Now I just need to find time to actually friggin' play. Seriously.
Come on guys we can't die now
I'm soooo stoked for this Saturday. Im bringing two friends and my twin along to smoke, and then we're gonna go to a game. I have all of my new Russian gear, plus .30's for my upgraded SVD.
fuck I cant wait :v:
i wish there were outdoor airsoft arenas in Toronto where I am. All are indoor and I kind of want to sneak around, use camouflage, and radio comms or something
i have a bunch of surplus gear that's just waiting to be used one day
Looks like SA is going to be the first state to legalize airsoft in the coming months.
Not my state but I guess its one step ahead for the airsoft scene in Australia.
who plays in socal?
in the disneyland area, think it might be cool to get into this shit
Once again the black market opens for me and I have a few choices to make to satisfy my airsoft needs.
Should I get :
a carbine then a sniper next time,
a pdw then a sniper next time,
or get over with it and just go for a DMR.
Of these, the guns available are,
CYMA MP5K / MP5SD
IMI Galil
SG 552
G36
Magpul PDR
For the (potential) DMR:
APS ASR110
They're all (obviously) Chinese/HK/Taiwan clones, and I don't think I care much about the performance. I'm not going to go play with them with others outside (because lol its illegal), it'll be mostly for the sake of the feeling of ownin and shooting an airsoft gun and shooting targets in backyard / private property.
So far I don't know what snipers are available yet, or if I can even afford to buy two at once hence the "next time" part.

Yo how do I get my hands on something
Fucking hold up, what?

Apparently SA is going to have a Firearms Act reform the Australian Airsoft Council has been concentrating most of their efforts recently into pushing airsoft into the reform and legalising it in SA.

I'm not taking them into the country. Yet. My family has an estate in borneo which I plan to use as a private field, the guns themselves will be kept there. Its in the Malaysian side though, which means airsoft is still illegal but the estate is quite off the beaten track and the only people there are the workers.
I visit the estate about twice a year and AFAIK there's about 30~ locals there who owns airsoft stuffs. Hopefully I can get them together for a game as early as the end of this year.
The guns themselves are sourced from Indonesia, bear in mind that I do have to pay 3x the display tag to get them smuggled over, I'm guessing a good portion of the money goes into bribery.
[editline]2nd June 2015[/editline]
Also I decided to go for the DMR setup and got the ASR
I'm heading to Malaysia somewhere at the end of this month and exchange will occur a week after I arrive.
