So, today i've field tested the Thompson, the drum mag works well but the stick mag broke after shooting a bit

It basically doesn't feed the bbs anymore, because even if you pull the rotating thing at the bottom the bbs don't go up, anyone know how to open the mag and fix it?

Does anyone here have any experience with bidding on Airsoft stuff? I found an exciting deal that includes a gun that's been sold out forever and some other decent extras, but I'm afraid it's a total sham. One of those "I'm getting rid of all my stuff, here have it for a really low price" things that's very easily too good to be true.
Is it safe to shoot BBs that aren't completely round? Shot away like 30 and most of them aren't completely round according to my dad. I can't see a difference but apparently you can feel it
If you're unlucky they can get stuck in your barrel or fuck up the hop up and they also fly like shit.
If its some el cheapo plastic china gun tho then I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Should I just count all shot BB's as spent then?

Starting airsoft, got a couple questions.
Do the pellets hurt?
Am I supposed to wear body armour?
If so how thick?
Finally, what type of gun shall I buy?
The pellets do hurt(They all hurt based on how how fast and how much weight they have), body armour isn't needed(Eye protection IS required), and you should buy a decent starter weapon(Such as a Galaxy MP5k).
make sure you buy atleast level 3 steel or ceramic plates for protection
rule of thumb: if someone asks you for them to shoot you in the ass with an airsoft, tell them you're going to have to shoot them with it first

No you can play naked if you feel like it. (goggles are a must though, don't wanna go blind)
You want a gun that isn't shit. Look into the G&G Combat Machine series.
