I disagree. I thought it was a fantastic game. I've played through every splinter cell several times, Double Agent less than the rest, but that's a diffrent debate. Conviction felt to me like a refreshing twist. Sam in Double Agent felt too chill about losing his daughter, and losing his best friend and not going mad just ruined it. Convictions showed those took their toll. By that, I mean he's pissed. I wouldn't be chill if all that had happened. I would screw the whole pro spy thing and kick ass, like Sam does. You forget though that there is stealth involved. Its all in how you play. There's also the 3rd echelon level and that level is based around stealth. As for the Iraq level, you're supposed to play it with action, yeah. But you are supposed to use tactics, you're under assault. You aren't going to go and use stealth when you're leader is being tortured. To wrap things up: SC:C In my opinion is no "Shitty Action Game" But a great stealth-action game that provided a fantastic twist to an already brilliant story. I give that game 10/10.
Well when you are trained to be an elite agent like Sam, you turn know that turning off your emotions can save your life. If you are in a mission deep undercover you can't have any doubt about what you are doing.

As for Lambert, I understand that. I still think that he would have shown more emotion than that though.

Besides, there was time that passed between the news dropping and the start of the undercover mission. He got a lot of the stress out by the time the mission started. He already fell hard, getting into fights, beating himself up. He also had to set himself up to look like he turned into a criminal, in the trailer it looks like he was shooting at cops.
I'd say it was a good game, but not a good Splinter Cell game.
confiding the fact i hadn't played a splinter cell game before that, i did like it then i played the older games
As a game in and of itself, it's alright. Personally I was disappointed because of how far it strayed from its roots, the gameplay mechanics that got me hooked to the franchise in the first place.
It was okay, but it felt rushed and to this day I still haven't finished Co-op because I could never join a game.
Hopefully Splinter Cell 6 will go back to it's roots.
I didn't like it at all really, as a game it was quite average. The gameplay was average and they went to heavy on the story, which was a really bad one imo. As somebody who has played all the other SC games and loved them, except for perhaps double agent, the game was awful.
I thought it was innovative, and a great change from the first games, It was really only good for one playthrough though.
Older Splinter-Cell games: Fisher!!! What the fuck is wrong with you this is a stealth mission!!! You are not supposed to go all Rambo, you killed the fucking target?! You were supposed to tap into his conversations, not murder him. SC:C: Fisher, here are your options; Kill everybody opposing you/Sneak past your opponents and then kill them all.
