I like pretty much everything more in Skyrim except the deadric armor. I mean, <
I don't really like Skyrim's daedric helmet, but otherwise its much more awesome in my opinion.

I've seen a similar helm in skyrim.
The left is Oblivion? I've seen a similar helm in skyrim.
the left is definitely not oblivion. and Boba_Fett has become blind.

Way too cluttered.
the left is definitely not oblivion. and Boba_Fett has become blind.
The ugliness of the Skyrim daedric armor did it.
The ugliness of the Skyrim daedric armor did it.
You must have been blind before that because I think it looks beautiful. By far the best looking armour in Skyrim.
The more I look at Skyrim, the shitty Oblivion looks. Oblivion used to be BEAUTIFUL, now I just can't see that anymore.
I think the gameworld still looks pretty by today's standards, it's just the characters that look absolutely ridiculous. They all the head of a morbidly obese person despite all having the same body build.
I think the deadric armor looks badass
I guess it goes to show that graphics and models don't really matter when you have a brilliant core gameplay, that's probably why some people still like oblivion more than Skyrim.
Oblivion's gameplay doesn't really have anything that Skyrim doesn't. It's just that Oblivion was more amazing to us since it was the first of this console generation and many people played it instead of Morrowind first. Skyrim just feels like Oblivion but heavily expanded upon to me. I think it's kind of the same thing where people say Fallout 3 was better than New Vegas even though NV was a huge improvement in terms of the content.
What was the name of the song? I love that song.
King and Country on the Oblivion soundtrack i think
Put 125 hours into Oblivion, but only put around 25 into Skyrim. I feel that Oblivion offered a better adventure, rewards were more prominent in dungeons and quests where more rewarding with an amazing soundtrack and sunrise I don't think I'll forget, while Skyrim does have better aesthetics and gameplay, I play the ES and FO games for the adventure. So I understand why so many people prefer Skyrim, but I personally prefer Oblivion with valid reasons. Edit: Also, that abomination of a UI.
many people played it instead of Morrowind first.
Yes yes yes. This is why people complain about Morrowind's combat system so much. I mean, I do think it was objectively mediocre, but it's always the first thing people talk about despite the game being so much more.
I thought Saadia was hot. I wanted to marry her in game but NOPE had to stick with that Mjoll chick to take damage while I loot shit.

It being too "stat-heavy" was a problem in general with it. The combat relied too much on the numbers and most people exploited it by just letting themselves get hit by enemies or jumping around for 20 minutes to level up skills. Everything was basically copied and pastied and put all over the place. Skyrim does a good job at having a more varied environment and there are more dungeons, towers, ruins, random events, or whatever to find. Plus the dungeons and such aren't as samey as Oblivion's which is good. I never wanted to just wander around in Oblivion because I felt I had basically seen all there is to see pretty early into the game.
The elves actually looks like elves in skyrim...

I can't help but feel a nagging feeling in me that Skyrim was a disappointment amung many other games this year. The gameplay wasn't amazingly better. Sure, the hits feel more solid, you can attach a weapon to each hand, and spells work a lot better, but after a while of gameplay it eventually boils down to what Oblivion was;hack'n'slash, heal heal heal, hack'n'slash, heal heal heal. They said the bows would be better but they haven't improved way much. They're far more satisfying to use, don't get me wrong, but you still have to have a fairly high level for it to be effective. I can even find problems with the melee combat. The sounds are very awkward and realism breaking. If you slam a person in steel armor with a steel sword and hear the same sound as if you slashed someone in a mages robe then it feels unrealistic. The bows have a similar problem too. If your arrow strikes a heavily armed soldier in the chest and it goes straight through the armor as easily as it can through a cloth dress it feels very unrealistic. Dragon fights feel gimmicky to be honest. Dragons are usually very easy if you're decently armed and are uninteresting to fight. It's the same formula. Shoot arrows/fireballs/dragon shouts or wait till the dragon lands, attack him directly, and wait for him to die or fly again. It's so boring and repetitive that you want to avoid dragons for the sake of not wasting time and not out of fear of death. I also find that Up close I get a similar realism breaking feel when melee attacking a dragon. It feels like invisible bullets are flying at him at a close range when I hit him since they have a magical invisible barrier preventing you from getting very close. I also felt as if the story lacked as well. Alduin never felt like the antagonist that could really destroy the world. It felt so simple. There was no mystery beyond half way through the main quest. His basic plan: Raise dragons, cause shit, eat Soverngarde souls, repeat. It's the worst TES lore I've seen. It was so uninteresting. It would have been nice if there was a REAL plan, like the Mythic Dawn had, or maybe trying to restore the dragon order. It would have been cool to see a dragon cult that worshipped the dragons like other daedric cults. At least reveal some plan for Alduin to raise a dragon army and have organized attacks on Skyrim. I feel the writing for the game was so poorly done this game. The side-quests were FAR more rewarding and interesting in both terms of originality, gameplay, and story telling. The Dark Brotherhood Questline was more satisfying in about 3 hours of gameplay than the entire 6-10 mainquest hours I spent. Not to mention the cliffhanger feeling considering the Aldmeri Dominion. I have so many other nitpicky things that bother me. The lack of an arena is one. The fairly short mainquest and major questlines was a big disappointment. The number of Misc quest dropped on you in the truck loads is so annoying and you'll likely never do them all. Not to mention the UI is the worse UI I've seen in a Bethesda game ever in terms of functionality. I feel the only thing coming for the game is their attempts to graphically improve it. the graphics on high settings are beautiful and they finally made non-footballheaded people. The races feel more distinct and realistic and I will admit the character building is very nice, basic, and allows you to naturally level skills as compared to most other RPGs.

Easily one of my favorite pieces of game music right there. I did some poking looking for that and I think I have it beat: Streets of Whiterun. Probably my favorite song in Skyrim.
I love how the elves ins Skyrim look different. They have humanoid faces, but they're still vastly different from the human races.
Skyrim's female high elves just look so gosh darn cute!
I think one of the other important improvements is the looks of flame atronach
I could never look at Oblivion's Dunmer seriously because I was so used to them being so cool in Morrowind. Thankfully Bethesda got them right in Skyrim.
Skyrim has a disturbing lack of Khajiit jokes That's my biggest issue
This is my favorite song in Skyrim by far, I love it pretty much every time it comes on. Not counting the two or so that were songs from Morrowind of course :v: Those ones will always win.
Morrowind had more than two tracks? Anyway, it's not hard to make a normal looking khajiit in oblivion, I'd imagine all the npc ones look retarded though.
Skyrim has a disturbing lack of Khajiit jokes That's my biggest issue
Is dat.. vur.. coming out of vour ears?
Morrowind had more than two tracks? Jerall Mountains is one (I think it was called Silt Runrise in Morrowind) I love the soundtrack for Skyrim-specific songs too though. Skyrim's OST is just as good as Morrowind's OST, if not better in some songs.
I shed a manly tear.
