OS 9 had way more viruses than OS X has, and that was back when Apple had virtually no marketshare. Virus writers have a great incentive to make something really nasty for OS X since it's something that hasn't ever really plagued Mac users and everyone hates them anyways. Besides it is harder to actually write viruses for it because the nature of UNIX.

I’m not taking sides, but from my experience, when I was at uni (I studied music production - and so was in the media/arts campus) pretty much every workshop ran iMacs for video, sound and image editing. The only windows pc's we had were some dusty old ones in the library that could barely run word and were painfully slow (because they were OLD, not SHIT). In most music studios I’ve worked in they’ve been running pro-tools off a powermac, and my girlfriend (in b4 no girlfriend) says that all the newspapers and magazines shes worked for all do everything on iMacs, especially page layout etc. I'm not saying that mac's are better, but surely all u pc fanboys must concede that there is a reason that they are so engrained with industry professionals. Personally, I use an Intel iMac, currently running windows 7. I mainly got it so that i have the option of switching to OSX (I’ve got it dual boot) for adobe cs4 and to run protools hd etc etc. Also i like how little it crashes and the lack of wires, but that’s just my experience. Oh, and money wasn’t really an issue. Lucky old me. Both have their uses, hence why I have Win7 installed, for steam games, msn, and all that shiz. But when I’m editing or recording anything I switch to OSX. Best of both worlds really. Boooom.

I've never experienced a Mac fanboy in person, though I have first hand experience with a fanboy on another message board once. You say windows and he says that by using that operating system, god will damn you to the depths of hell. It was a fun thread to watch when a guy stated that he was switching from his Macbook (He was having tons of issues with it) to a Thinkpad. IGNORANCE: DOESN'T SAVE MONEY KIDS!
