Sort of looks like the 8 may have faded or was written hastily and is now a 6, no idea though, what's just as abnormal is that he never owned a computer or a television (from since my mum has known him) so how he knew about the warhammer necron is strange.
Is he holding some sort of weapon?

warhammer is a series of books and tabletop games, not known only to internet users
Warhammer 40k isn't a computer game.

Not a clue, I assume they cleaned out his apartment where he lived and threw them away or put them in a locker or something, he doesn't have any family so they can't be passed on.
