So whats south jersey like, Greater Philadelphia area and French Canadians?
Let's talk about Russia for a change. Between Ukraine, Iran, and Syria, they're becoming our rivals again on the world stage.
Is anyone actually worried about them, though? Their economy is crumbling, but Putin is still a dangerous figure.

Nope they all well fall plus so will Norway if oil becomes cheaper. Plus we are already crushing syria through supporting ISIS there.
As long as Saudi-Aramco keeps this oil thing up, they're not a threat. Their economy is entirely based on oil exports, and they can't function under $50 a barrel. Saudi-Aramco wants to hit $20.
Now, our oil production isn't profitable under $80, so this is a problem for us as well. But it's far more damaging to Russia than it is to us, because we have a more diversified economy. We'll see the usual problems with domestic oil that we usually see when it dips internationally, but our economy won't collapse around itself like Russia's will.

But could this economic collapse push Russia in unintended directions? I'm not trying to sound hysterical, but there is a historical basis for it, particularly during the Great Depression.

It's quiet and at times boring. The only form of entertainment we have is the beach, really. Majority of the area is forest and small fields. The closer you get to Philly, the more urbanized it becomes and the more shitty it becomes until it inevitably transforms into Camden.
I live in Cumberland County, which is about an hour south of Camden. Got three main towns (they pretend they're 'cities' but its laughable) and the rest is just countryside. If the deer aren't jumping in front of your car, the tractors are pulling in front of you and going 2 mph for the next 5 miles :v:
Cape May is the fun area, really. It has the best beaches and boardwalks. Not to mention Atlantic City is nearby.

It's certainly a potential outcome, but the question is whether or not they've got the money for it.
eh we probably won't allow for a complete collapse of russia, the eu and america don't want them to collapse, we just want them to get the fuck out of crimea and ukraine

Again, though, we're not exactly the ones playing the cards here. Saudi-Aramco is, and they've had a deep-rooted hatred for Russian oil for a while. Whatever happens, it's going to be interesting.

Anyone going to NYC to watch America's balls drop for New Years?
Anyone going to NYC to watch America's balls drop for New Years?
I saw a recent post on Imgur that describes it as a pretty shitty event. The crowds are so massive, you have to be there by noon in order to secure a spot.
Anyone going to NYC to watch America's balls drop for New Years?
I'm not even leaving my room to sit in front of a TV.
Anyone going to NYC to watch America's balls drop for New Years?
My goal is to be asleep by midnight.
Also the people that go and stand in times square for that shit are dumb.
Anyone going to NYC to watch America's balls drop for New Years?
Going to a friend's house for NYE.
I don't see the appeal of standing around for hours to maybe watch a ball slide down a pole, assuming you're anywhere even near it with a clear view. Maybe if I had a group of friends, and we did other things, but from what I've heard (and as posted above) you need to be there hours in advance to get a decent spot.
Also I don't really like crowds.
I went to a New Year's thing a few years ago with my friend, the girl he was dating, and the girl I was kind of maybe not really dating (who was also my friend's sister. He tried to get us to go out for a few years). It was just sort of awkward and cold. We went ice skating, I think.
We broke up (if you could call it that) at Waffle House at 4AM. High school was weird.
