LEGOLAND MOTHERFUCKER
I haven't been there in ten years, so that's definitely going on the list. [editline]20th February 2015[/editline]
play the "hi i'd like to book a hotel room for the middle of july" game see how many hotels tell you to fuck off (sdcc dates)
Sounds fun. I'm going during my spring break, though, which is coming up here in March. I think hotels should be okay. [editline]20th February 2015[/editline]
the zoo
I've always wanted to go to the San Diego Zoo.
My friend's band has a show on Sunday, I told him I couldn't make it because I'm visiting family in Jersey. Truth is, I'll be right at home, watching the Daytona 500. Sorry, buddy! I'll catch the next one. :v:
I need to get out of New York man. Such a crappy state.
I need to get out of New York man. Such a crappy state.
Come to Texas with me. I'm going to visit with my family in the spring and see if we like it. I live in Orange County NY and this deal is getting worse all the time.
thank you communist state of massachusetts for liberating me of my tax money
No matter how bad NY gets, I would NEVER live in the bible-belt south or California.
you know that wannabe from brooklyn accent but it's in jersey
Bro, the North Jersey accent, which you are probably talking about, is unique in that it kicks the ass of any accent on this side of the States in terms of greatness and originality. Now, take in the consideration that NJ has a really high density and level of diversity. Now, imagine all of those different ethnic groups developing Jersey accents while speaking their native languages. That's how it really is here.
No matter how bad NY gets, I would NEVER live in the bible-belt south or California.
what's wrong with cali
what's wrong with cali
ridiculously high cost of living in anywhere worth living, hipsters, terrible laws
what's wrong with cali
What's good about it?
What's good about it?
It isn't frozen. That should be enough.
California Goods - Very nice temperature. - Some good beaches, quality urban areas. - The Red Hot Chili Peppers made a decent album about it. Bads - Terrible legislation/laws. - Hipsters absolutely everywhere. - Housing prices are through the roof. - No weather change. Ever. - Generic scenery, little to no green. - Shitty taxes.
What's good about it?
beaches, diverse culture, nice cities, tourist destinations and historical landmarks and shit not speaking from experience, i've only ever been to the east coast, but other than the laws and stuff it has always sounded pretty good [editline]23rd February 2015[/editline]
- Generic scenery, little to no green.
really? well this is a surprise
California Goods - Very nice temperature. - Some good beaches, quality urban areas. - The Red Hot Chili Peppers made a decent album about it. bay area weather is pretty great fuck rain [editline]22nd February 2015[/editline] though i like nyc more than this place tbh
Never heard of a place that had no good beaches (that had a coastline). Hell, even New Jersey has some great beaches.
I feel like "a future of recurring drought" might be on the unexpected cons list of california, most of the state may be up shit creek without a paddle for the short term future until some sort of zaney water scheme is devised

Seawater desalination? Because that would basically solve all of their water problems, and the UAE's got that down to a science.
Never heard of a place that had no good beaches (that had a coastline). Hell, even New Jersey has some great beaches.
there's plenty of terrible beaches out there, i wouldnt know any specific ones though (haven't heard a lot of good things about the ones in NC and SC though) because i guess crappy ones don't get as much attention as the good ones obviously
California - The Red Hot Chili Peppers made a decent album about it.
Isn't every Red Hot Chili Peppers album about California?
"i have never been to california and am just talking about what i see on tv" what is this i have no idea what it is
downtown los angeles [t]https://birdingforlife.files.wordpress.com/2013/07/california-desert.jpg[/t]
also define hipster for me cause i don't really see that many
downtown los angeles [t]https://birdingforlife.files.wordpress.com/2013/07/california-desert.jpg[/t]
there's not any starbucks there that's not dtla
I think he's saying that everywhere that has a coast has at least one good beach.
oh definitely, but it's one thing to have multiple good beaches in the same area and another to have to drive for 6 hours to get to a half decent one
also define hipster for me cause i don't really see that many
it's more noticeable outside of CA generally: a wool sweater or button-up sweater, a t-shirt with some sort of odd quip or old band you never heard of, big glasses, a wool-knit hat usually worn outside of winter, tight jeans (and i mean tight), converse sneakers or some nice dress shoes, as much facial hair as possible (or makeup if you are a girl)
oh definitely, but it's one thing to have multiple good beaches in the same area and another to have to drive for 6 hours to get to a half decent one
literally california has every option of beach, the nice beaches with just sand, sand+rocks, rocks+sand
there's not any starbucks there that's not dtla
i guess ur kale gives you poor eyesight as well, its literally RIGHT THERE [t]http://i.imgur.com/RhQipHL.jpg[/t]
