If there's anywhere to definitely visit in DC, it's the Smithsonian.
You can miss out on all the other places, but make sure to put time aside for there.

dude I loved going to costa, fucking incredible place, rafting down the pacuare river was a once-in-a-lifetime event, and mt arenal is simply fantastic
its a beautiful as fuck country, and the people there are friendly as hell
Just booked my honeymoon road trip from Indiana to South Dakota to check out Mount Rushmore and many other places. Should be fun!

I'm thinking of moving back to California for college. The only turn off for me right now is the whole business with the whole, "worse drought in 1,200 years" thing. How has it affected you, or how do you think it will affect you/ federal economy in the upcoming years?

NYC would be fine to drive in when its 10 degrees, and snowing, and a sunday. Theres no pedestrians, or other people driving.

As long as you don't have a massive lawn and do something stupid like run your sprinklers for an hour in middle of summer in daylight, you shouldn't really be affected. Of course I might not be the best source since I live in a college dorm in san francisco and just had it rain twice today...

That actually reminds me of the time I was on a drive through Manhattan back to Jersey, I think it was Black Friday, pretty early in the morning and the streets were just fucking empty. No cars, no pedestrians. It was eerie as heck, especially compared to what it is whenever I have the misfortune to commute there. I swear the vehicle I was in was the only one for quite a few blocks, even nearing the Lincoln Tunnel.

Heh, always got a kick on the deconstruction this picture has. I'm basically just a lover of this state. Call me a weirdo for it, but I'm not one to personally be making the about my home state myself. Something about it just captivates me, despite what everybody else seems to think of it, and us.
