did someone forget that desecrating the flag is actually against federal law? it's in the constitution, look up the flag code. if they burn it, that's one thing since you're supposed to destroy a damaged flag via burning, only these flags aren't destroyed, they're practically fresh off the factory floor. not to mention that what they're doing isn't even an act of freedom of speech, it's just them being fucking morons. the jackoffs in the middle east who burned flags were making statements, these people are just trying to get attention. shit like this makes me want something like the purge to exist lol.

As it well shouldn't be, in my opinion. The flag, while it represents something, is not that which it represents. The flag is not holy. It's not sacred. It isn't our country. It's no different from any other piece of cloth rolling off a factory line in China or Bangladesh.

It's the ideas that are important, not the symbol. To say otherwise is blind nationalism.

It's a consumer good, like any other. Think about what's actually important, don't worry about what people do with their money for attention.

By all accounts, it is technically an exercise of their constitutional right to free speech. I wouldn't deny them of that, and I wouldn't want them to deny me mine.

Don't get me wrong, it is absolutely stupid. But they're well within their rights afforded (outside of flag code), so I don't really see any foul here.
