My respect to the fallen and vets. Also to the OP for not making it a political discussion. Too much of that happening lately "i don't respect our troops because they are invading a country over oil".
Yeah, this is just something that doesn't involve modern day politics, but needs to be remembered.
I found my poppy on the bus a week or so ago.
I would've liked to have gotten the chance to get a white poppy, though.

Also,
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
You don't have to support the war, but always support the troops. :patriot:
I've already accidentally poked myself with my poppy's pin about 10 times today :(
:patriot: Good thing ones left.
Fucking hell I feel like an idiot. I saw all the flags at half mast today and I could not remember for the life of me why.
I always stand and give my two minutes of silence, it's disappointing to know i'm one of the few I know who does.

:golfclap:
I donated $5 today for my poppy.
I'm cool so I threw together a quick FP avatar.
Use it or don't, no one's forcing you to.

Some asshole TV ad producer made a travel commercial with an older fellow packing his bags and then saying "I remember the day when I stormed the beaches, after the first shot, it was all a blur."
And then immediately a sign popped up above his head saying "CANCUN $399 BLAH BLAH...".
Pisses me off, no respect.
edit: Found it. Looks like a company representative actually apologized in the youtube comments.
