Thank god for freedom and soldiers. :patriot:

How's that?
Awesome, I'll add it in a bit.
Vote agree for color version, disagree for other one.

Today's one minute of silence began just before I went to my classroom to tell me classmates that we had been moved to a different room.
Was really awkward because I walked into the hallway and everyone was standing against the walls silently, so I just kind of stood there for a few seconds and then went against the wall.
Was a long one minute.

Time zones, you ignorant person.
Take a while, stop playing video games and pissing on graves, and pay your respects to the brave men and women who fought to defend your privileged rights and freedoms. Either that, or, get drafted and shipped off some place to only come home in a pine box. Maybe then you'll figure it out.
My school didn't have a minute silence for today, and they didn't even put the flag at half mast.
Bunch of ignorant pricks.

The Red Poppy is representative of the Flanders Fields, IE the fighting that took place in Flanders.
Oh yeah, it's also due to a poem written by a Canadian Infantryman who was fighting in Flanders, saying that while the dead lay around them, the poppies still grew, or something to that effect.
I especially hate those kids that are like "I don't care, what's a ceremony supposed to do for a dead guy?"
I really feel like punching every single one in the mouth.
A person died fighting for their own country and it's people and you don't pay them any respect?
Any idea of respect has gone down alot in this generation.
I'm off school today. This is because my school was evacuated due to a fire in a nearby cigarette factory.

I meant to shop an army beret onto my wolf today, but I just reformatted to Win 7 last night and forgot to backup Photoshop so I'll have to skip it.
Our two minutes silence at work went flawlessly.
First someone logged on with the speakers at full volume and the XP logon sound came blurting out the speakers.
Then my boss came in and started asking someone about something or other.
I admit it was kinda funny seeing as we're meant to be a council office.

The poppy grew on Flanders Fields, now we wear them to remember those who died for what they believed in.

I always think of my grandpop on Remembrance Day. he fought in Borneo and Malaya in the Second World War.
In Australia, we also recite The Ode:
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
Lest We Forget
Someone mind giving me a poppy?
im so pissed, at my school they decided to run a segment about HEALTHCARE instead of a segment about veterans day on the morning announcements. its like there's no appreciation for what these people did for us anymore, me being enlisted in the service this pisses me off enormously.
