that's why we said to use the bandcamp
Meh, some guy just uploaded them to dropbox for me.
My in depth review of every song on this album.
Gibo990 - Imber
Caught me off guard. Shockingly decent. Well produced and very interesting to listen to. Blimey, don't tell me the FP music scene's evolved into something actually respectable? Am I going to be pushed in a pool of unexpected quality?
Rediscover - Pretentious Title
Ladies and gentlemen we are only 2 songs into this album and we have already experienced an audible recreation of the Challenger catastrophe. Never before have I laid ears on an album that would incite so much hope, interest and curiosity only to have it blow up in my fucking face by just song number two. With a total number of 16 tracks on this album it is a miracle of Gabe Newells second breakfasts magnitude to me why this song was even considered and not simply cut out or like NOT CONSIDERED IN THE FIRST PLACE. And why the fuck it was placed 2nd.
Hobo4President - Nine
Your average, uninspired but advanced (read: stock sample vs. own vst creations ratio: [10/3]) fl studio trance techno thing that is offensively long and more dragged out than Taco Bell beef.
Gregah - Soul Commissioning
I shouldve known that the small and ill talented metal/hard rock scene within facepunch artists would chime in to leave an additional stain on this already wrecked album with this boring parody of a surprisingly toothless metal song or whatever this is supposed to represent. Personal highlight is the out of tune bass that can't help but make it's ungodly presence known starting at 1:28.
Stooltable - Promiscuous Dancing
While the repeating chords do get boring after a while (hint: this song is too long) the humor and idea behind this strike me making me wish I could just erase the previous 3 songs from my memory. The production is a tad bit disappointing but ya gotta make do wit wat ya got. Good one non the less.
Patjo_sweden - Break Free
Never been that big of a dnb fan but the drop at 1:05 even made me nod the specific dnb way. Excellent production and good sequencing paired with many ideas make this a good song. Maybe the first 3 really were just inside jokes? Maybe clever trolling.
Natrox - To Arms
And we're back in below average territory again. Uninspired and planless, though this song comes with drums that sound like work was put in to them. Alot more work than on the rest of the song. If i had to rate this song in colour, I'd rate it grey. That's what it sounds like.
Bobie - Mentality
Would light a joint to the intro only to have my buzz destroyed by the oncoming bad awful dnb wanna be blargh goo that follows it.
Tahrok - Jams
Another stock sounding fl studio trance techno song. Not worth mentioning further.
hikula - Streets of NY
Sounds like this was ambient music ripped out of games like Deus Ex 1 or system shock 2. Though I like its dark vibe it doesn't feature any interesting moments so this is one of those songs you could listen to, go take a piss, come back and forget you were listening to it because your media player has already jumped to the next song on your library. Definitely not bad though.
MrOwn1 - Rainy
The only thing that kinda makes this song listenable are the chords at the beginning. Too bad you cut them out after like 2 mins and then just copy paste the bass and drums while adding some random beep boops here and there until you reach the 4 minute mark. Why don't you people notice the utter BORE you're producing? What made you think this would sound interesting to rationally thinking human beings.
Schmoe222 - Long Ago
Ah, a classical piece with all the atmosphere, depth and emotion robotically sequenced and stock-sounding classical instrument samples can shit in your ear. Ah, there's singing too? Unfortunately it's as if the cello and violin samples won't allow for this song to actually make it easier for the listener to fool himself into believing he's actually listening to a half-decent song.
stizzles - Grindstep
YES! THROW MORE FL STUDIO STOCK SAMPLES AT MY FACE SO I CAN RUB THEM INTO MY SKIN AND MAYBE ONE DAY I'LL CAVE IN AND ENJOY FL STUDIO STOCK SAMPLE TRANCE JUST SO YOU DICKS WILL LEAVE ME ALONE.
Unknowndude - Brototype
Audible blue-balling. There are some ideas in this but the production is weak and the song is probably the most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most most repetitive thing I've heard since mass media reports shortly after terrists became the new fashion scare in 2001.
Pepin - Oven Mitts
Man, country and the weakest of rock collide in a prom night highschool performance gone boring. Bonus points for actually writing lyrics and singing, though. Shows you're willing to bring up more effort for a project than the guys, sitting in their mums basement in darkness seemingly cluelessly clicking on levers, knobs and buttons.
Nothing from my song had stock FL studio samples. :raise:

Unfortunately I do not know of any orchestra around my area, so, at least for the moment, I'll have to continue using samples. Limited to EastWest, what could I do to make my songs sound better in the future? Is it the actual notes and form of the song that are making it unpleasant to listen to or the samples? If it's the second, what would make the samples sound better - more time spent on the intensity of each note, the reverb of the instrument, or something else entirely?
Also, just a quick correction, there is no cello or violin in the song.
[editline]Edit[/editline]
Wait, were your complaints based solely on the "violin" and "cello" samples? I was using a Yalli Tambur and a Middle Eastern Fiddle, both of which have quite different sounds than traditional Western string instruments and may come across as "cheesy" or "low quality" to those who are expecting them to be violins, violas, cellos, double basses, or any other Western instrument.

Thank you for taking your time to listen through and give your thoughts about the CD, I assure you my next entry will be a lot better than the one I made for this CD.

like i've said before, it was rushed to meet a deadline so i pretty much made the most reptitive song ever
my next song will actually have some thought put into it

I love your song man, I fall asleep to it. Mad respect. I want more of your work, I would def pay for it d:
My god, Break Free and Grindstep are amazing.
-snip-
There are a few things wrong you said about my work. There are no fl studio stock samples used and everything was created using vts. The only thing that wasn't created by me was the kick/snare drum from the Vengeance House pack. Also, the song is progressive house, not trance.
none of that really matters though
What the fuck did i just Downlo- REAL MEN DON'T USE OVEN MITTS
They're like a glove that doesn't fit!
they're always too big or always too small
Awesome Collab, been listening to it a day now
Why isn't Tu's rap on it :(

Ah.
Well, why would his track be on the CD? He didn't sign up for it. But he should for the next one, I'd love to have some rap on the CD too :)
I get a error on pirate bay saying "No input file specified." on a blank page.
